Hard to believe another Ridgeview Cross Country season has come and gone and for the 5 senior girls who started running in 2012 while in middle school it's been a good ride. They have put several trophies in the case including the first trophy in the new school 4 years ago. They have been to the state championship meet as a team for the past 3 years. They have a special runners bond with each other and have made many friends at other schools along the way. These seniors will be missed but they have paved the way for younger girls to keep it going at Ridgeview. The boys had a complete team this year with a bunch of freshman who will get stronger as they get older. I would like to say thanks to Donnie Frazier and Amber Owens who have been the coaches from day one. Also thanks to the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and others who have supported the team. I will be posting some pictures from our trip to state soon.

STATE BOUND!!!!!! The Girls Cross Country Team Finished 2nd in the Region D Meet today at Bristol. Very proud of all the girls today because it was a true team effort to get the runner-up trophy and advance to the State Championship Meet on Nov. 9th. Here is how they finished: Haley 4th, Kaley 21st, Kylie 23rd, Nikole 24th, Lauren 36th, Hanna 54th, Shellby 61st. Team scores: 1st Union 79, 2nd Ridgeview 87, 3rd Graham 97, 4th Tazewell 99, 5th Wise 112, 6th Lebanon 129, 7th VA High 141, 8th Gate City 163, 9th Grayson167. Top 3 teams advance to State. Ridgeview had 3 boys that qualified for the region and here is how they finished: Chancin 30th, Riley 43rd, Cree 64th. I will get some pictures posted in the next couple of days.
