Bobcat MMA

08/01/2022

As of today, August 1, 2022, Bobcat MMA will no longer operate at the location in The Plains. We will post when we are up and running at the new location. With this move, our classes will be scaled down and at this time, we will not be offering any youth classes.

With our family's move to North Carolina last year, we felt it was time to minimize Bobcat's operations and relocate.

While we will no longer be offering as many classes, we are excited that a new school will be opening this August in Athens! Digg City Jiu Jitsu will be opening their doors on August 20! Go check out these awesome people!

We want to thank the countless people who shared the mats, our posts, and their hunger for all things jiu jitsu and striking. We cannot thank Josh, Steve, Mark, Bret, Seth, Drew and everyone who kept Bobcat up running in the last year enough. Without these individuals, Bobcat would not have ran at all. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful group of people as our Bobcat Family.

Thank you all once again. These last 2 years have been a dream in the making and we absolutely love and miss everyone!

Due to currently issued Tornado watch in effect through 9pm tonight, we are canceling all classes this evening (5/3/2022). We will resume normal schedule tomorrow. Please keep an eye out for changing weather conditions and be safe tonight.

All Jiu-jitsu classes are cancelled today. Youth and Adult. As of the time of this post there is a level two snow emergency in both Athens and Hocking county. I hope this is the last time I have to do this for a long while. Enjoy your day off, be safe, and have a great weekend.

All Saturday classes are canceled this weekend. We will be at the Arnold Classic with several of our students competing this weekend. Normal schedule will resume on Monday.

Kids class and adult open mat will resume at normal times today (2/5/22). However, come only if it is safe for you to do so. Safety is my number one priority for all of you. Coach Drew will be leading the classes today.

Due to the potential for severe ice and bad weather as the day goes on I am canceling all classes this evening (2/3/22).

We will evaluate Saturday classes as early as we can. Consider them still happening as scheduled until we have updated road conditions going into Friday evening at which time we will make a final call.
