Ask any long-term jiu jitsu player what changed their jiu jitsu and they'll rarely say a technique.

They'll say a person. A conversation. A moment outside the gym where something clicked.

We built the Oregon adventure days around that truth.

Rafting the river together β€” not as a tourist activity, but as the kind of shared experience that accelerates trust between people who just met on the mat.

Hiking through The Columbia Gorge β€” where the conversations that don't happen in a gym finally have room to breathe.

Training at a local vineyard, then sharing a meal β€” because breaking bread after hard training is how communities have always been built.

You can find jiu jitsu instruction anywhere. You can find scenic locations everywhere. What you can't manufacture is the bond that forms when a group of people does hard, beautiful things together over three days.

That's what June 12–14 is actually about.

Most seminars give you one perspective for a few hours. You absorb what you can and go home.

Jiu Jistu + Adventure Camp Oregon 2026 gives you three black belts across three days β€” Donny Chance, Charles Harriott, and Erin Haines β€” each teaching differently, each challenging a different part of your game. And between sessions, Natasha ._ brings yoga and bodywork designed specifically for grapplers who want to show up recovered instead of wrecked.

But here's the part the curriculum doesn't capture:

The roll you have with someone from a gym you've never heard of. The detail one of the instructors gives you between sessions because they actually had time to watch you move. The conversation at the vineyard BBQ that changes how you think about your training.

That's not on the schedule. That's what happens when you put the right people in the same place for long enough.

All smiles of joy or suspicion?!?!

This last week, we've revisited defensive postures and re-gaining positions. They learned to move under attack and transition to top/guard/half-guard.

They also learned more sneaky techniques. I think that's the part they liked best! 😎

There are a lot of jiu jitsu camps in beautiful places.

This isn't that.

Beautiful location is easy to sell. What's hard to build β€” and what almost no camp bothers to try β€” is a room full of people who actually want to know each other. Practitioners from different gyms, different states, different backgrounds, all showing up with the same obsession and the willingness to be on the mat together.

That's what we built for Oregon 2026.

June 12–14 in The Dalles, OR. Three days, three black belts, one community that didn't exist before you arrived and won't disappear when you leave.

You can join us for a single day ($150) or the full Friday–Sunday weekend ($350).

The scenery is real. But that's not why people will come back next year.

To the partners who make the training life possible β€”

Behind every person who shows up to the mat consistently, there's someone at home holding things together. You know this. And when your person comes home calmer, more focused, more themselves β€” that's the mat working.

This June, we're giving your partner something they rarely get: five dedicated days to invest fully in something that makes them better. And you get a version of them who comes home having genuinely recharged β€” not just physically, but in the way that only a community of like-minded people in a beautiful place can do.

One day, three days, or the full week. June 11–15 in Oregon.

If your partner has been eyeing this β€” this is your sign to tell them to go.

Tag them below.

What does five days in Oregon actually give you?

It gives you mat time with three black belts who each teach differently, so your game gets stretched in directions your home gym can't always reach.

It gives you daily yoga with an expert who trains jiujitsu, whose insight is guaranteed to help you get more limber before your training day begins.

It gives you a rafting day that resets your nervous system in a way no recovery protocol can replicate.

It gives you two hikes where you talk jiu jitsu with people who are as obsessed as you are β€” the kind of conversations that change how you see your training.

It gives you a vineyard afternoon where you drill techniques, share a meal, and remember why you fell in love with this art in the first place.

And it gives you a community that travels from across the country to be in the same place, for the same reason.

That's not a camp. That's a turning point.

Friends visiting, promotions happening, all around great day on the mats.

was awarded his brown belt today. Well earned for his many years of training, coaching and sharing his passion for JJ. He's an amazing training partner, and often the target of our teams, "how do I defeat Nolan's ... " or "I'm going to try this .... on Nolan" . He is a dedicated father, LEO and our friend. Prof. Donny has had the pleasure to present each belt and stripe to Nolan, who was his first blue belt promotion EVER. We very much appreciate that he chooses to train with us and look forward to what comes next as he refines his art in this brown belt for a bit.

Professor Donny has been on the mats, coaching and exploring JJ for 3 years since he received his black belt. presented him with his 1st degree on his belt today.

Hillary and Brian did a fabulous job on principles for passing from headquarters and half guard. We appreciate you two and the time it takes to support our small, but mighty!, gym.

Thank you everyone who sacrificed a sunny Sunday afternoon to join us!
