Lucky Wonder Horse has a sire boasting the top racehorse genetics in the industry, and his first, second and third dams all ran down the alley at the NFR.
By $90 million Hall-of-Fame racehorse sire First Down Dash (SI 105), the buckskin stud inherited his color from his dam, six-time NFR-qualifying mare Rosa’s Cantina. She was by $63 million racing sire Corona Cartel out of NFR mare Dash Ta Vanila – herself out of NFR mare SX Frenchman’s Vanila (the first futurity Triple Crown winner).

First Down Dash x Sugar Moon Express (Dr Nick Bar)

SME One of a Kind is by leading racehorse sire First Down Dash (speed index 105 and LTE $857,256) is out of Lindsay Sears’ great two-time world champion sorrel mare Sugar Moon Express (“Martha”) – an earner of $1.5 million on the cloverleaf. (“Mojo”) won a round at Cheyenne Frontier Days at only 5, then suffered a debilitating injury in 2023. Still, the stud came back to win $58,000 at just 23 rodeos last summer including Ellensburg and Caldwell. He clinched wins at Spanish Fork and Ponoka – a rodeo Martha won several times, too.

Martha ran at seven NFRs and seven CFRs. She won 17 NFR go-rounds – including five of 10 rounds two separate years – and the NFR average, plus about every major rodeo and was named 2008 AQHA/WPRA Horse of the Year.
