Gyokeres has become a shadow of himself. It is hard for me to say this but after watching the way he played in today's game against Ipswich I couldn't help it. He couldn't even have a better positioning, infact it is the only striker I know that instead to free himself away from defender and create a space he will rather entangle himself with defenders,which type of striker is this?In today's game he practically touched the ball 14 times. If he cannot perform in this kind of game I don't think he will ever improve. Last season was even better thinking that by this season he could have understood better the pattern of play of Arsenal and how he will be able to improve his positioning. How can you as a striker running after defenders instead of moving away from them or free yourself to create a space?. This cannot continue because God forbids if Havert get injury then who will replace him definitely not Gyokeres. I am not impress by him at all. People argued that because he hasn't been giving passes by teammates that is the reason for his poor display but people forget that it is when a player is in a good position especially striker before he can receive the ball . I will rather pass the ball to my teammates who is in a better position than someone who actually entangled himself with opponent defenders. He needs to improve his game or seek alternative elsewhere by January transfer windows.
