This morning we say goodbye to our dear friend.
Gary Duffey.
An International Icon known around the world for his Expertise and Historical recall of all things gauged or calibered. A Classic and the perfect match for the Rigby Master Gun makers. He entertained, Kings, Princes, Sheiks, Politicians, Nobles and Business Icons from all corners of the world yet regarded his family and friends more important. Not only did Gary know and recall the international history of the fi***rm world, he knew Texarkana’s from its beginning. From the date and place treasured friends purchased a fi***rm to each detail that made it unique. Then the stories of special memories they shared hunting and shooting together. His love and respect for his family and friends was truly remarkable, a gentle kind soul and encourager. Gary is such a special part of our Garrett’s Sporting Goods family. He encourage taught and shared laughter. We could not wait for him to come in from the parking lot as he always had a wonderful story from his adventures each time he walked through the doors. Gary had such an iconic voice anyone who knew him would recognize it anywhere. Gary was loved and respected, always had a smile and hug. We will truly miss you but are certain you are already scouting out all the good places and will know the history of “before and always” when we get there.
