In case you’re wondering if you’ll have training partners at 6am… the answer is yes. 😅

And yes, we’re aware the wall currently has a very “open concept” look. Repairs are in progress—we promise the jiu-jitsu is more polished than the construction zone.

Shoutout to the 6am crew for showing up and putting in the work before most people have had their first cup of coffee. 👊☕

Everyone starts somewhere. 👊

Today kicks off our brand-new Beginners Class, and we thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane.

Every coach in this reel was once the nervous white belt standing at the edge of the mat, wondering if they belonged. No stripes. No medals. No fancy techniques. Just showing up and learning one class at a time.

Fast forward to today… and look at them now.

The secret? They didn’t quit.

If you’re brand new, remember: every black belt, every competitor, every coach started exactly where you are.

Saturday, May 9th at the Boston Open was a good reminder of what this team is all about.

From blue belt to black belt, every single person who stepped out there represented Fenix the right way. Some brought home medals, some came up short, but all of them showed up, tested themselves, and put it on the line. That’s what matters.

Competing isn’t easy. It takes nerves, sacrifice, discipline, and the willingness to walk toward something uncomfortable while everyone watches. Win or lose, we’re proud of every athlete that got out there and battled.

The energy, support, and team atmosphere all weekend was awesome to watch. This team keeps growing because people continue to push themselves and show up for each other.

Now we build. October is next. Let’s bring an even bigger crew, even louder support, and keep raising the standard. 🔥🐦‍🔥

Something new is coming to Saturdays 👀

Starting June 6th, we’re adding a brand new Beginners Class from 9:45–10:45am for students with 2 stripes and below. This class is focused on building a strong foundation in jiu jitsu in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment.

If you’ve been wanting to slow things down, sharpen the fundamentals, and build confidence on the mats — this class is for you. 🤝

No experience needed. Just show up and learn.
