X-treme Condition: These flashlights have a polycarbonate shell, the same thermoplastic used for bullet-proof glass. They are then filled solid with a tough epoxy resin, making them perfectly sealed and extremely durable; they can even withstand being run over by a car, and will continue to function properly! Their solar panels and ultra-capacitors can even operate in extreme heat and cold. Because the components are sealed in solid plastic, they are permanently waterproof and eliminate any chance of internal condensation. The flashlight is activated by a magnetic sensor underneath the plastic, so that not even the switch is exposed. It is designed to be impervious to the elements and time. They even work underwater! Everlasting: One of the most impressive qualities of the XEUS series is the way these flashlights hold a charge. Unlike any other solar flashlight on the market, these do not use rechargeable batteries. Instead, they utilize modern capacitor technology. This means their power cells could endure 100,000 (or more) charges. All of our flashlights are equipped with an extra large (10mm), ultra bright (28,500 mcd), white LED. These LEDs will withstand 100,000 hours of usage, which is equivalent to 11 years of nonstop use! The encapsulation process eliminates the possibility of any oxidation on their electronic components, allowing XEUS Flashlights to stand the test of time unlike any other! This design gives them the potential to last an entire lifetime! Ultracapacitor: Unlike most rechargeable flashlights, the XEUS series utilizes capacitors instead of batteries. While a battery will degrade with every use, and take less of a charge each time you replenish it, a capacitor will take thousands of charges without ever deteriorating. The full size XEUS flashlights' 30 ultra capacitor has enough capacitance to power its 28,500mcd LED for 30 hours! Solar Powered: Under the protection of its polycarbonate handle, the full size XEUS has a 360* amorphous monocrystalline solar array. This means the flashlights' solar panel can obtain a charge no matter how it is positioned. Our Nano keychain variant has a powerful polycrystalline solar panel. They are all equipped with blocking diodes to prevent overcharge or back-flow. For every minute of use, the solar cells need one minute charge time. These flashlights are self powered, and will never need replacement hardware. By simply exposing the flashlight to lamplight or daylight (even on a cloudy day), it will charge, making it perfect for emergencies or regular use, and especially ideal as a survival tool. This is a much more effective source of energy than any shake or wind flashlight! It requires no work and creates a lot of energy.
