Sorry, no pictures this week.

This was by far the best week we have had this season for the AC Racing team.

We raced at Coles County Speedway this past Friday. Hot laps went well, we had done some work on the car to stop the oil issue and changed gear. Let's just say it was successful, no blowing oil and had a little more speed. We ran all 8 laps in the heat race, started P4 and finished the same. Moving on to the feature, we started P8 and finished P7. For once this season we ran every lap from the start of the night to the finish, and it felt great. Just maybe our luck has changed.

Once we were done, we were packing the trailer when a big ole maylay broke out after one of the other races. There must have been 25 people way laying on each other. It made for a bit of excitement, but at the end of it all, those folks looked like a bunch of idiots. All I can say is it is unnecessary, no matter what happens, for adults to be so ignorant. We left at that point and the Sheriff's department was handling the issue. Let's see if the track owner stands behind his zero tolerance policy.

Well we have a week off, no racing this Friday. We will be at Lincoln Park Speedway on Saturday so Audra can ride in the back of a two seater sprint car, and our annual NHRA US Nationals race on Sunday.

Hope everyone has a nice holiday weekend and stay safe.

As always thank you to our fans and sponsors, we appreciate all of you.

Success!

We were in action last night at Coles County Speedway.

The car did good, a couple of hiccups but for the most part, We're Back!

Had her take it easy in hot laps, and we found we had a throttle issue. Nothing big, just needed some adjustment and it was fixed for the heat race. We were still being a bit cautious at the beginning of the heat race, but ran pretty well. Lined up 10th in the feature, she ran 15 of the 20 laps and pulled off because she thought she had a problem. At the end of the night, scorers showed us finishing 10th but I had figured we were 7th out of 12, not sure what happened there. Either way, the car came home dirty but in one piece. We have a few little items to attend to, but all in all I think we had a successful run.

We will be back in Coles County next Friday, hoping to keep our momentum.

Thanks as always to all our sponsors.

Hope to see you at the races.

Ok folks, 2.0 is ready to go.

It took forever to rebuild her from the crash. Every time we thought we had everything to fix it, something else was bent or broken. I believe the only thing we didn't have to touch was the engine, and anyone who follows AC Racing knows we had our share of engine issues earlier in the season.

Now let's change our luck and do some racing.
With any luck, we will be on the track Friday night at Coles County Speedway to see if we did it right.

Well AC Racing fans, update on the cars progress.

It's starting to look like a racecar again. With any luck we will be back racing in 2 weeks. Seems like every time we think we have everything ordered, something else pops up.

Parts from the Flip:

Top Wing, Trees and Slider
Nose Wing and Posts
Rear Axle
Front Axle
Rear Brake Rotor
Rear Caliper Panhard Bar
Right Rear Shock
Front Bumper
Rear Bumper
Right Rear Wheel
Left Rear Wheel

I'm sure before we get it all done, we'll find something else.

I always say, it's racing, fix it and move on, but this one hurts. It's not about the cost to fix it, and thank God Audra wasn't hurt, I'm just frustrated because of the situation in which it happened. There is no reason that a car should get torn up this bad on lap one of an 8 car heat race.

On a positive note, the Stallard we had for sale is sold and on its way to Australia 🦘, yes, I said Australia. We've had cars go to Minnesota, Wisconsin, Oregon and even had one hauled home to Springfield Ill. On top of a Grand Marque but to have one travel halfway around the world is kind of cool.

Thanks as always to our sponsors, we appreciate all of you.

Hope to see our followers in Coles County in 2 weeks.

First and foremost, Audra is fine, just a bit sore today.

Someday we will catch a break, but until then, wish me luck on winning the Lottery, I'm gonna need it.

Another night of racing AC Racing fans, started out good, hot laps went good, the car was fast and the weather was great. Then our friend, bad luck made another visit.

The picture shows it all, axle, shock, birdcage, wings, and that's just what we see, should know more when we take it apart. She started outside the front row in the heat race, got turned into the wall, and rolled it twice. Why these nitwits try to win a race on the first lap is beyond me. Now I have $1000's of repairs to do because of lack of respect for other drivers.

Off for the next week for more Nascar Youth work for Audra. With any form of luck we will have it back together and ready to race in a couple weeks.

As always, it's a sport we love so as frustrated as I am, we'll rebuild and move on.

Thanks again to all our sponsors.

Success tonight, we run without blowing anything up 😁.

Well AC Racing fans, we ran US24 Speedway tonight. New to us, and we will definitely be back. The car ran flawlessly until the B main and unfortunately the bonehead crew chief did not get one of the carburetor boots tight and it caused our night to end early. I guarantee we would have made the feature had I double checked myself, but it's a lesson learned.

It sucks when you know the reason for not running the feature was something you caused, but hey, the year we have been having with engines, this is a minor setback.

Now that it seems we have gotten our engine program on the right track, look for big things from our little team.

As always, thanks to all our sponsors, family and friends that support us.

We will be off for a couple weeks so Audra can go do her NASCAR Youth job. Everyone knows I would rather be at the track, but she enjoys working with the youngsters.

Until next time,
See you at the track.

Took the AC Racing micro to Southern Illinois Raceway this past Saturday.

Let me tell you, we can't buy luck. First we lost the hood off the AC unit on the trailer on the way to the track, then everything else went south. (Read Below)

We went to the track with hopes everything was fixed from last Friday. In hot laps the car was real fast and Audra was driving it like a pro. Unfortunately we still had an oil issue where it was blowing out of the crank case filter again. We checked what we could and decided maybe too much oil. Drained off about a half qrt. and sent her for her heat race. While sitting in the hot shoot running, I noticed that the oil filter had a cut in it and oil was blowing out. We scratched the heat and went back to the trailer to fix the issue. Guess what? no extra filter in the trailer. Zach found someone at the track that had one, but ended up being the wrong size. Finally we found one at the local AutoZone, got it in the car and was convinced this was the whole oil problem, it wasn't blowing out of the filter, it was slinging all over. Finally the feature came around and we had to start last. The car was bad fast and Audra was passing, improving her position each lap. Then out of nowhere, the #2 engine decided its time was up and expired. We saw flames flash under the car and it lost power. So we ended up not finishing. We had a solid 8-10 place car for the feature, and the driver showed her true abilities.

As always, racing is a bunch of ups and downs. Again, it wasn't a total loss even though we didn't finish, we learned, and Audra showed her true abilities. We will rebuild and move on, at least I have 2 weeks to repair it this time.

I would like to thank Zach for coming to help, I still think he is crazy for making a 6hr. drive, but hey, he loves her(Audra).

Thanks again to all our sponsors, we promise to make you proud

The 07c was back in action Friday night. Decent runs, but had some damage from the heat race that kept us out of the feature.

We came home a little beaten up, but the new engine did its job and is definitely a runner. During the heat race, Audra and another car got together between turns 1 & 2. Didn't appear to be much, but apparently the crank case breather had been knocked off in the altercation, and hot oil started spewing a few laps later. She finished the race P7 with damage to the engine, front wing and left side nerf. Audra was a little sore from the hot oil that got to her, and with the unknown amount of oil she lost, the missing breather, and a giant mess, we just decided to call it for the evening and live to fight another day.

Even though we missed the feature, and brought home a torn up car, to us as racers, we still call this a successful night. Racing has a lot of ups and downs, and some may read this and think, Wow! what a waste, but not us. Yes, we would love to get back on top and win, and that day will come, but as long as we are staying safe and having fun, you'll find us at the track.

Stay tuned AC Racing fans, we're beaten but not down. We'll have the car ready for next Friday and move forward. Such a fun ride, I wouldn't trade this for the world.

Thanks again to all our sponsors.
