If you are a reversible jacket fan, you are the problem.
Waking up to see high major cuck state that Indiana State is among his last four out if they don't win the automatic berth today is of your doing as much as it is his.
You see, by also being a fan of Indiana, Purdue, or whatever high major program when you turn that Sycamore jacket inside out, you've allowed this system of inequality to exist. Not only that, it has now grown to the point where it is going to tear college athletics apart due to the immense greed and arrogance. You're a cog in the machine making all of this happen.
Two decades ago, it was more commonplace for a power conference school like Indiana to go on the road to Hulman Center. Today, however, it is seen as "not good for their NCAA tournament resume" or "insert some NET or Quad win mumbo jumbo" yet that same inverse logic is used against Indiana State for not scheduling well enough. Never mind the fact to schedule "well enough" now means we would have to go on the road to multiple power conference schools where home winning percentages are usually well over 67%.
Looking at data from 1996 to 2018, the midpoint NCAA wide home court winning percentage was 67.65%. When you extrapolated that at looked at power conference percentages? It jumped to 70%+, even 80%+ like Michigan State, who had an 86.8% home court winning percentage. But yeah, we're expected to go win in Breslin when most of the Big Ten can't even do that on a yearly basis?
Back to you for a minute.
When you turn that jacket inside out and give these other schools and their media your eyeballs and your discretionary dollars, you're adding more money to those coffers, which they then invest in perpetuating the system and advancing their influence. Did Robbie Avila and just get good in the last month? If you believe the national media that all the sudden showed up sniffing around Terre Haute, you'd certainly think so. By the way lazy journalists, the smell has been gone for decades just like the lazy tropes you've been using about Terre Haute in your recent articles. Also happens to be about the same time Indiana last came to Hulman Center and we sent them back to Bloomington with a big L. But I digress.
The effort to change this nonsense starts begins and end with you. Quit giving your attention and money to other schools. Do and demand better.
