The vision of the Griffin Bike Park is to create a national caliber riding area and recreational tourism destination in Terre Haute, Indiana in celebration of Freedom, Friendship, Family, and Community and those who have given their lives to defend such values. The Griffin Bike Park is a project of th

e Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department. The park will be free and open to the public; provide a full spectrum, destination riding experience, for riders of all ages, skills and abilities; provide a venue for world class races, competitions and special events programming; provide significant economic impact for the local community; provide sustainable revenue for the ongoing maintenance and operation of the facility; and honor those who have served our country protecting our freedoms, our families, friends and communities.

Don’t forget, tomorrow morning at 9 am we’re meeting in the LZ for our next work day. We’ve got some storm damage to get cleaned up, so that will be out first focus. There are multiple trees and limbs to clean up along with other debris. See you there!

This Saturday! Gather your friends and come on out to help our Friends of Griffin Bike Park with our list of projects for the 2026 year! We have over 30 miles of trails to maintain and a specific trail we need to rebuild from start to finish. We have limited tools available, if you have some please feel free to bring you own. We can't keep the park running without the help of our community!

If you've been around for a while you know we have bad luck with the month of June and it looks like the predicted storms tonight is a reminder of that. This year they'll just happen to be here while a chunk of our Friends Group are on a trip! We'll get inspections done and trail statuses updated as soon as we are able, but this is a good reminder that outside of Rich, our park is ran completely by volunteers! That means any storm clean up like down trees is done by our Friends of Griffin Bike Park group. They're a hard working group of folks, but they ALWAYS need and appreciate help. They'll be having a work day (tentatively) on Saturday at 9 am! If there's storm damage we'll be tackling that, if not then we have a whole other set of trail maintenance projects we need to tackle this year.
