Dear Parents and Players of the OutKast and THMSA and Terre haute and Indiana Softball Community,
As I sit down to write this letter, my heart is full of emotions, and words seem almost inadequate to express how much each and every one of you has meant to me over the years. After much reflection, I am writing to let you know that I will be stepping away from my role with the team and community. This decision comes as a result of a job relocation that will benefit my family, and though this new opportunity is exciting, it also comes with a deep sense of sadness in leaving behind such an incredible community.
From the moment I first joined this team and community, I knew I was a part of something special. It has been an honor to watch each of you grow — not only as athletes but as individuals. The dedication, the passion, and the heart you all bring to the game have made every practice, every game, and every moment together unforgettable.
I would also like to extend my deepest gratitude to not only the team but to all the athletes and families I have had the privilege of being a part of over the years. Each of you, whether as players, supporters, or friends, has made an indelible impact on my life. It has been an honor to be a part of this wider community, and I truly cherish the connections we've built, the challenges we've overcome, and the victories we've celebrated.
To the players, thank you for your hard work, for the laughs, for your resilience in moments of challenge, and for the pure joy you bring to the field. I have been so proud to witness your growth, and I am confident that the lessons you’ve learned, both on and off the field, will stay with you for years to come. The courage, teamwork, and sportsmanship you’ve shown will always be what makes this community so extraordinary.
To the parents, your support has been unwavering. Thank you for entrusting me with the privilege of coaching your children and for all the sacrifices you make to ensure they have the opportunity to pursue their passion. Whether it was early mornings, late evenings, or all the travel — your commitment and encouragement never went unnoticed. I have been inspired by your dedication to your children’s success, and I will always be grateful for your partnership in this journey.
While my decision to relocate is driven by a new job opportunity that will benefit my family, it was not an easy choice to leave this community that has given me so much. As I move on to new chapters in my life, please know that I will carry these memories with me forever. The friendships formed, the lessons learned, and the joy shared will always have a place in my heart. I have been so fortunate to be a part of your lives, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
Although I will no longer be on the field with you, I will always be cheering for each of you, whether it's from the stands or from afar. You’ve all made an incredible impact on me, and I will always be proud to say I was a part of this amazing team and community.
Thank you for the trust, the support, and the memories. This is not goodbye — it’s just a new beginning. I’ll forever cherish the moments we shared, and I hope our paths cross again soon.
