What is art?
Taking things from a tree and turning them into something beautiful isn’t art. The process is art. From hearing the timber break from its weight. The sound of sand paper repelling against wood in the middle night hours. The texture of urethane not dry. The site of smoke puffing off the laser. The stroke of the first strike or the tute of the first quack. The art isn’t the final product that’s simply a form. The art is watching and seeing the form come to life. Sincerely,

I had the pleasure of running my Sandhill Crane call at the Grand National Call Makers Awards and Auction. Thanks to all who took the time to congratulate me on the award. I found out yesterday that I was Second in Best of Show Waterfowl. The call was made from Stabilizer Buckeye Burl with our custom AWS Guts

Here are my entries for the Grand National Call Making Competition. Out of 1488 entries I was fortunate enough to come in 1st Place in one Division with my Sandhill Crane call. This has been a call I have worked on getting better for a number of years. It is the first time entering it in the contest. It feels great to bring this awards back to Meigs County where we are known for our Sandhill Cranes and the Sandhill Crane Festival.
