Welcome to the premier boutique wine country ride on the Central Coast. Come enjoy the beautiful scenery and outstanding terrain. The Central Coast offers some of the best rides available to cyclists. When you are finished, come celebrate your ride with a scrumptious BBQ and enjoy premier wines from surrounding vineyards. This is a place to be among friends, old and new. Afterwards, enjoy the beautiful Templeton downtown park and explore our quaint downtown with unique shops and amazing eateries. You can also explore our world class wineries just minutes away. The Templeton Wine and Roses Bicycle Ride is limited to 150 participants.

New this year! The ride will be held on the Sunday of a 3-day weekend. You can enjoy wine-tasting or the Pioneer Day event in Paso Robles on Saturday, ride and picnic on Sunday, then relax on Monday before starting the work week. We’ve set up the day and designed routes to minimize traffic and maximize scenic beauty (unfortunately we can’t level the hills!). Bonus!... Most of these roads have been repaved in the last few years.

E-bikes are welcome, but please pass slower cyclists on the left and make sure to call out (and check for cars) before you pass. If you are a church-goer, there are a few churches in Templeton with online services (this may change later in 2021).

While we have been hopeful we could pull this off this year, it is clear we will not be able to after all. There is much planning to make any event like this happen, including meetings, getting sponsors, volunteers and so on. We will be back next year. Thank you to all of our wonderful participants and look forward to meeting again.

All the best,
Wine and Roses Planning Team

There has been much interest in this ride. Our goal is to have the ride Saturday October 10, 2020 providing the state allows large gatherings. Right now, we are hopeful.

My pool table is filled with Voler (pronounced “Vo Lay”) jerseys for Saturday’s raffle! Over 30 to give away, along with some 15% off coupons to boot. These are not just made in the USA, they are made right here on the Central Coast of California in Grover Beach. I drove down and picked these up this morning. Thank you to the good folks at Voler for supporting us!

We just received a few goodies from the nice folks at Lezyne. These should make some lucky raffle winners happy!
