💜 September is Su***de Awareness Month. 🩵

At JCC, we believe in the power of community, connection, and reminding people that they are never alone. Behind every smile, every ride, every adventure, and every strong person is a story we may know nothing about.

So this month, we’re reminding our JCC family and everyone around us: check on your people. Send the text. Make the phone call. Sit with someone. Listen without judgment. Sometimes the smallest reminder that someone cares can mean more than we realize.

Life can feel heavy sometimes, but you don’t have to carry it alone. There is always someone willing to listen, and there is always hope for another day. 💜🩵

It's been a minute since I've introduced myself! 🙋‍♀️

I'm Hunter, the heart and hands behind HNL Massage Therapy.

When I was deciding on a college path, I knew two things: I loved science (anatomy and physiology most of all), and I wanted a career helping people. That led me to become a middle and high school science teacher, passing on my love of science to hundreds of students over six years!

When my husband and I decided to start our family, I knew I needed a shift that gave me more time at home while still fulfilling my passion for wellness. Drawing on my background in science, my years playing sports, and my time as the "most likely to be injured" teammate hanging out in the athletic trainer's office 🤣 I found massage therapy—and I’ve never looked back!

I specialize in deep tissue manipulation and neuromuscular facilitation. In plain terms: I help you get to the root of your pain by working with your nervous system, not against it.

Many people assume "no pain, no gain," but when your body senses pain, it treats it as a threat. It guards against it, causing even more tension. My goal isn't to leave you bruised or limping—my clients leave relaxed, refreshed, and in far less pain. That's not to say there aren't uncomfortable moments when working through a tough knot... I have been nicknamed Hercules by a few clients 🤣 but I’ve also had people snoring while I'm working out a stubborn spot!
