Went to training in Gotemba again with Soke and Jingu-san today. Also, had the opportunity to meet Steve from Australia.

I overdid it a bit this weekend with the festival and training the other arts I study, so I had to back off during the second half of class today and focused on throwing with my non-dominant hand. It was still a good chance to get some extra training in over the long holiday weekend though. It was also nice to have some great, clear views of Mt Fuji as I was driving into town. Normally, one of my family members would have snapped a nice photo for me, but unfortunately I made the trip by myself today.

Performed a demonstration of Meifu Shinkage Ryu (明府真影流) shurikenjutsu (手裏剣術) at a festival in west Tokyo yesterday. I had an opportunity to teach shuriken to many children and adults, which was a lot of fun to see their faces when they were able to successfully stick the target. I was also asked to help carry the mikoshi shrine at the end of the festival.

I am leading a Meifu Shinkage Ryu demo in Tokyo this weekend, so I created these portable stands for the tatami target. Very convenient and easily fits in my vehicle. Sharing for the MSR community.

In Iowa, you'll now be able to chuck more than corn...you can now chuck shuriken too!
