The "Big Game" is less than 1 week away, which means just 1 thing... baseball season is only a short toss to first base away!!!

Things are gearing up fast, as the Sac Generals are looking to put together 4 teams between the normal Sunday league, a spring and summer night league, and an over-the-border Reno/Tahoe team. 6-year veteran Stephen Watson has rejoined forces with veteran Big-Guy Braden Bates to bring the Green Fever over the mountains, putting together a squad to Make Baseball Great Again in the Truckee Meadows region.

If you or anyone you know in Reno/Truckee area want to strap on the spikes and tar up a bat with us, send a message! Roster spots are still open, season is projected to start at the end of April. Tryouts (weather permitting) will be held at the Governor's Bowl (field at the SW corner of the 580/80 freeway interchange), 1st or 2nd weekend of March. Or, just do the 2018 thing and visit www.renoadultbaseball.com and figure things out like the big boy you are.

It was kinda fun...until next year!!

Well, the Generals World Series tournament came to and end 1 game from the big one. The boys battled back, trailing late in the game, and managed to tie the game in the top of the 9th at 11 runs a piece. But the Tucson Longhorns mounted a rally to walk the game off in the bottom of the 9th.

We would like to thanks all the players on our team for their dedication and will to push through adversity. We accomplished our goals and then some. We made it the furthest into the tournament we've ever gone with our smallest roster ever. We were the underdogs of the entire World Series, and are proud to take 3rd place out of 17. We thank you all for supporting us, and we look forward to coming back in 2018 and doing it all over again.

On our way to the semi-championship game, stay tuned for details!!

Life has been rough during this tournament. All these close battles, they're fun, but they really take a toll on the body and the heart. After YET ANOTHER close battle, the Generals came out above the the AC/P's by a score of 9 to 8!!! We are playing into Championship Sunday, set to battle the Rhode Island Brewers at 9am. We will battle through the bruises, scrapes, and cramps to do our best to bring the MSBL World Series title back to Sacramento!!!

It's official, the Generals will be playing into the weekend in the MSBL World Series. They had their first (somewhat) stress-free game with a 12-4 victory over the Las Vegas Dirtbags. After 3 days of fight and battle, the boys pulled together to come back from underdogs to clinch the #2 seed in the division and #4 in the entire age group. With a record of 3 and 2 in the division, the G-Men earned a first round bye on Saturday. We will be facing off against a TBD opponent at Sloan Park at 1:45pm in Mesa, AZ, so stay tuned as we battle to play for Sunday!!

Since just about every game has been a nail biter, we decided to have another one for game 4. Back and forth as always, tied going into 9th, and the Guys in Green managed to put one across and hold the Giants off in the bottom of the inning to put a 7 to 6 W in the books. The G-Men are now 2-2 going into game 5 at Tempe Diablo tonight at 7:30pm. The team is going to recharge and grab a bite before 1st pitch, so stay tuned for a game update.

11/03/2017

Back at it again! We're facing off against the Giants at 130pm in Maryvale, then back to Tempe Diablo Stadium to square off against the Dirtbags at 730pm. Hopefully some W's in in our future today!

Game 3 ended in a L for the boys. A field change combined with the 10 inning game earlier left very little time for the team to eat and relax between battles. But only losing by 5 runs wasn't a terrible result. The team is feeling good and are going to rest well tonight, and get back at it tomorrow at 12:30 and 7:00 on Friday.
