The monsoon has packed up, the first rides of the season no longer need a sunrise start to survive, and the café board at Regroup has turned a shade of orange. Fall in Tempe is what the rest of the country calls summer — which makes it, by our reckoning, the best riding of the year. It also means pumpkin, and the launch of our new fall menu at the café. Here’s a hint of what we’re sipping out of the saddle.

On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September, we’re loading up for a stacked road-to-trail Parlee party at Regroup. And it all starts with our regular Saturday morning ride, with friends from Parlee in the saddle and the brand’s amazing Ouray available to demo during the ride. After miles, we’ll host a Parlee social at the café, with coffee, snacks, and a guided tour of Parlee bikes from the people behind the brand, and a casual conversation about design, fit, and the ride experience.

On Sunday, we’ll switch surfaces and take the Parlee Taos onto the terrain it was built to explore during our regular Sunday gravel ride. This is a Taos-only demo opportunity, giving registered riders the chance to experience its speed, control, and confidence across a predominantly gravel route.

Regroup Custom: Max’s Green Tri-Composite Sarto Cima

When bikes are this good, why stop at one? Such is the way with Sarto. You have been warned. Max’s first Sarto wasn’t even planned — he bought it on something like a whim. He’s been riding it, and loving it, ever since. That’s generally how it goes. The first Sarto is an exploration; the second is a commission. By then you’re fully down the rabbit hole. See the full bike and build on Regroup.

New on the Regroup Review: The Busy Man

Mick Peel covers bicycle saddles in leather, which is a bit like saying Josef Albers drew squares. Both sentences are true. Both just touch the surface. In Mick’s case, quite literally. Read the full interview at Regroup.

There are many reasons to love Mosaic bikes, and this week, the Colorado titanium meisters added another to make thirty-two of them - 32” that is. The GT-1 i55 32 is a new platform built with big hoops in mind: geometry, rear triangle, axle standards, 55mm of tire clearance and an in-house Zero Components 32-inch carbon fork, all developed together. Handmade in Colorado from custom double-butted titanium, made to order, and drawn to your own geometry as standard. Learn more and commission yours at Regroup.

Two of Factor’s finest race bikes, one bike fitter, several months in the saddle. Regroup’s Barry Anderson breaks down the ONE versus the OSTRO VAM across ride quality, stiffness, aero, weight, and more — and explains why he wants Factor to build a bike that splits the difference.

Desert light doesn’t ease you in. Soft sun at roll-out, full glare by the first climb, two stops lost dropping into a canyon — and the ride home aimed straight at a low sun. React sunglasses re-tint in a tenth of a second, powered by the sun itself. No batteries, no lens swaps, no squinting through the transition. Swiss-made, polarised, and now at Regroup. Shop them in-store or online.

From, ‘The Cima Question’, our interview with Enrico Sarto about the brand’s new road bike.

If someone walked into the Regroup showroom tomorrow, I ask, stood between a Raso and a Cima, and said, “Enrico, which one should I get?” What would he say? He doesn’t hesitate. “This one is more for climbing,” he says. “Lighter. More reactive when you push, when you climb.” He’s been testing it himself and handing it to other riders — some of them experienced enough to have ridden half the bikes on the market — and, he reports, the feedback has been, in his understated way, pretty good. “More than one rider has fallen in love with this bike,” Enrico says of his testers. “They made a lot of climbs. So I’m happy too.”
