Aguilas win second consecutive EPSL title with a thrilling last minute goal by Playoffs MVP Aaron Coyle to win 3-2. Xolos hit the post and ball bounced on the line as fate saved Aguilas from a penalty shootout. Xolos who won the league title were unlucky not to win as well as they had numerous chances that were not converted. Aguilas finished second in league so they awaited the winner of the 3rd and 4th seed playoff played earlier in the night. PSG pounded a weak Americans 7-4 in the early playoff as Americans continue their dominance of weak defense. PSG nearly upset Aguilas in the semi-final round had it not been for the heroics once again of Aaron Coyle to save Aguilas 3-2. Coyle who also won the goal scorer's trophy last season was in top form the entire night. PSG's Gustavo and Donavon led the charge for the up and coming squad of youngsters and it seemed like it was going to be their night but Aguilas thwarted their efforts. Xolos brought a strong team for the final as Rene, this season's goal scoring champion led a talented bunch with Bruno, Emmanuel, Abraham, Alan, Saul and last season's saves Champion Diego guarding the posts. It wasn't Xolos time to be champions but they will surely be heard from in the future. Great A league season. Next session starts March 31st. See you all out there.
