Aguilas win second consecutive EPSL title with a thrilling last minute goal by Playoffs MVP Aaron Coyle to win 3-2. Xolos hit the post and ball bounced on the line as fate saved Aguilas from a penalty shootout. Xolos who won the league title were unlucky not to win as well as they had numerous chances that were not converted. Aguilas finished second in league so they awaited the winner of the 3rd and 4th seed playoff played earlier in the night. PSG pounded a weak Americans 7-4 in the early playoff as Americans continue their dominance of weak defense. PSG nearly upset Aguilas in the semi-final round had it not been for the heroics once again of Aaron Coyle to save Aguilas 3-2. Coyle who also won the goal scorer's trophy last season was in top form the entire night. PSG's Gustavo and Donavon led the charge for the up and coming squad of youngsters and it seemed like it was going to be their night but Aguilas thwarted their efforts. Xolos brought a strong team for the final as Rene, this season's goal scoring champion led a talented bunch with Bruno, Emmanuel, Abraham, Alan, Saul and last season's saves Champion Diego guarding the posts. It wasn't Xolos time to be champions but they will surely be heard from in the future. Great A league season. Next session starts March 31st. See you all out there.

Thrilling B League playoffs end with PSG taking the title. PSG had to battle through a tough semi-final battle with Sounders. They squeeked by with a late goal and had to suffer till the end of the 2-1 encounter. Meanwhile Inter came from behind to beat youngsters 4-3. This set up a final between 2 highly skilled teams. Inter took the lead within 5 minutes with a wonder kick in that took the PSG keeper by suprise. Things stayed the same until the second half when PSG scored to even things up. Ironically, they scored on a kick in that left the inter keeper stunned. Inter then came back to lead again but in the end the young boys from PSG prevailed with 2 late goals to preserve the win and the trophy. Great B League tournament and we'll see you in a couple of weeks. A league week 6 resumes on Tuesday. Still time to register for next session. Thanks EPSL. http://elitepremiersoccerleague.com/

Aaron Coyle from Aguilas is going for a second straight golden boot for most goals, he has 15, he had 34 last season. He is on an incredible march. But Rene from Xolos also has 15, those 2 will battle it out a la Messi and Ronaldo for top honors. Derek from Americans leads assists with 9 but Emmanuel of Xolos and Austen of Americans are also in the hunt. Eric from Americans is trying to wrestle keeper title from Diego of Xolos who is having an outstanding season. Good luck to all!

EPSL respects all teams but is of course a little partial to Leo Messi (The King) and FC Barcelona. With that being said, EPSL was quite happy to watch Atletico hammer Real Madrid today 4-0. Let us take notice that courage, heart and a great attitude can never be underestimated. Congratulations to Athletic Madrid!
