Progressive Health & Performance - Temecula Personal training to help you: Get rid of pain, look better in the mirror, and live a vibrant life

"We got you."

That's what we said to Craig the day he walked back through our doors in 2024.

I almost didn't recognize him. He had been with us in the first days of the Heroes' Movement program pre-Covid. Type 1 diabetes diagnosed at 35 had already cost him his Marine Corps career and he needed a veteran community to connect with.

After 4 years away, Craig needed us in a completely different way. A mysterious 28-pound drop in 27 days. Then rheumatoid arthritis. Then a massive heart attack walking out of work with 85% blockage in his left ventricle.

That was the wake-up call. That's when he decided it was time.

The first time Craig came to PHP, it was great to be around his community of veterans. The second time? He needed this. For his family. For everything that surrounds that. For survival.

This is why Heroes' Movement exists. Not for the easy seasons. For the ones where a vet looks in the mirror and doesn't recognize what he sees and needs a place that says we got you.

If you're a vet, or you know one, who needs this, reach out.

Low back pain isnโ€™t just about postureโ€”itโ€™s also about whatโ€™s on your plate.

Pro-inflammatory foods (like sugar, processed snacks, and fast food) can worsen pain, while whole foods (fish, greens, berries, nuts) help reduce inflammation and support your spine. Add in proper hydration and a healthy weight, and your diet becomes a powerful tool for back health.

Eat better. Move better. Feel better.

04/11/2026

We all want to look better.

Thereโ€™s nothing wrong with that.
But if thatโ€™s your only reason for taking care of yourselfโ€ฆ
Youโ€™re thinking too small.

Whether youโ€™re a business owner, a parent, or an athlete, someone is relying on you to show up at your best.

Listen to employment law attorney, Nancyrose Hernandez talking about the impact of her work.
The people she represents and whatโ€™s at stake.
And why taking care of her body and mind isnโ€™t optionalโ€ฆ
itโ€™s part of doing her job well.

Because the real reward isnโ€™t just looking betterโ€ฆ
itโ€™s being able to perform when it actually matters.

Who in your circle needs you at your best?

04/07/2026

This is one of the biggest reasons you need a coach.

Left on our own, most of us default to what we likeโ€ฆ
what weโ€™ve done beforeโ€ฆ
what feels comfortable.

The problem is...
thatโ€™s often not what actually gets us results.

Sometimes it leads to injury.
Sometimes itโ€™s just spinning your wheels for months.

On the other side,
if you only do what you needโ€ฆ
most people donโ€™t stick with it long enough to see it through.

Thatโ€™s why this is more of an art than people think.

The goal is finding the balance
where youโ€™re progressing, staying consistent,
and actually enjoying the process.

Thatโ€™s how you get your ๐Ÿฐ and eat it too ๐Ÿ’ช

๐— ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฏ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ!

At 71 years old and 120 lb., She gained 3 lbs of pure muscle. That is huge as a 71yo woman!
Meanwhile, She dropped her body fat from 20.1% down to 15.1%.
And her scale weight? Barely changed.
Read that again.
The scale didn't hardly move, but her how her body looks and feels has completely changed. This is exactly why we don't chase a number on the scale. We chase what's actually happening under the hood.

She's building muscle, losing fat, strengthening her bones, and setting herself up to stay independent and strong for decades to come. That's not just fitness, that's quality of life.

This is what 71 years young looks like when you put in the work with the right team and the right plan.

Drop her some love in the comments โ€” she deserves it!

๐— ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜ ๐—˜๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ป๐—ฎ!

Her goal was to build muscle and get stronger. But like a lot of young women, there was a fear underneath it all: I don't want to see the scale go up.

That fear is real. And it's worth talking about.

In her first month, she was under-eating โ€” just enough to work against her. She lost two pounds. Her body fat percentage dropped and her muscle mass ticked up, which sounds okay on the surface. But at her age, and at her weight, seeing the scale go down is not the win it might seem like.

Bodyweight and caloric availability play a direct role in hormonal health in young women. Under-fueling โ€” even slightly โ€” can disrupt hormone cycles in ways that quietly compound over time.

So we made adjustments. Nutrition. Training. We gave her body what it actually needed to do the work.

By month three? She was up to 114 pounds โ€” above her starting weight โ€” and her body fat percentage was still trending down.

Let that sink in. She gained five pounds on the scale and got leaner. That's body recomposition. That's what happens when training and nutrition are dialed in together with intention.

Muscle mass up. Body fat down. Hormones supported. Performance improving.

This is what doing it the right way actually looks like โ€” and it doesn't always feel comfortable at first. Trusting the process when the scale goes up takes courage, especially for a young woman who has spent years conditioned to fear that number.

She did the hard work. She trusted the process. The data backs it up.

The approach to supplementation is intentional and adaptable, built around a consistent daily foundation with adjustments based on current needs. Each morning begins with creatine and greens powder in water as a non-negotiable baseline.

From there, supplements are rotated depending on factors like season, environment, and how the body is responding. For example, Hista-Aid is currently used to address seasonal allergy symptoms. Its combination of lutein and quercetin helps reduce histamine production, while vitamin C supports the breakdown of histamine already in the bodyโ€”targeting the root issue rather than just masking symptoms.

At night, Support Minerals is a consistent addition. Modern diets, even healthy ones, can be deficient in key minerals due to changes in the food supply. Iodine is a common gap, especially for those using non-iodized salts like Himalayan sea salt. Supplementing helps restore these deficiencies and supports better sleep qualityโ€”deeper, more restorative rest that improves recovery.

Overall, the focus is not on a perfect supplement routine, but on understanding the bodyโ€™s needs and responding with consistency and strategy.

She didnโ€™t think sheโ€™d be able to hold her grandbaby.

Thatโ€™s what chronic pain takes from people โ€” not just movement, but moments.

And it didnโ€™t start all at once.
It started with stiffness. Swelling. Brushing it off.
Until it got loud enough that it couldnโ€™t be ignored.

Thatโ€™s how most cases go.

The difference is what you do next.

When you stop chasing symptoms and start addressing the root, things shift.

Pain isnโ€™t the end of the story.

03/24/2026

Most people chase symptoms. We look at systems.

A CHEK practitioner starts with the foundation โ€” core function and posture โ€” because when those are off, everything else compensates.

From there, we look at the full picture: diet, lifestyle, and mindset.
No guessing. Just assessment and intention.

Thatโ€™s how you create real change.
