Spent a little time today down in San Diego fishing with my buddy James Nelson doodcraftguitars catching calicos, barracuda , mackerel and redfish.

Playing around when I’m supposed to be getting something productive accomplished.

The Spinnerbait is a 3/4 oz Pro-Series Custom Black and Blue Thumber

The jigs are something totally new. I call them Red Craw (I know real catchy name). Dark Green Pumpkin Silicon, Orange Silicone and Med Red Living Rubber.

None of theses are on my website. I was just messing around for myself.

During a recent fishing excursion, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, to Lake Skinner with my good friend and mentor, George Kramer, an Inducted Menber of the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame Writer, we experienced exceptional results. George quickly caught a 7.94-pound Largemouth Bass, and I later caught bass weighing 6.57, 4.54, and 4.25 pounds. Considering the numerous bass that were caught but not weighed, I believe at least one, if not more, surpassed 3 pounds, making our 5-bass limit around 26 pounds or more. This may be my largest 5-bass limit yet. Fishing with George was, as always, fantastic.

4th place today with partner Jason Vorell at the Anglers Marine customer appreciation bass tournament at San Vicente. Feel pretty good about our finish.
Had a great time at a well organized event.
