DID YOU KNOW that Tizamagician's grandsire, Cee's Tizzy -- a handsome gray son of Relaunch -- was California's Leading Sire in 2000 and 2021? Those are the two years that Tizamagician's sire, Hall of Famer Tiznow, made history which still stands as the only horse to win the Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) twice.

Cee's Tizzy stood his entire stallion career in California, where he was buried in 2015 at the age of 28. In addition to 2000 Horse of the Year Tiznow, he sired 2001 Champion Older Mare Gourmet Girl, G1 winner Cost of Freedom and 37 other stakes winners.

He is also broodmare sire of 2013 Preakness Stakes (G1) winner Oxbow (sire of $5,976,720-earner Hot Rod Charlie), Paynter (sire of 2021 Horse of the Year Knicks Go), and more.

Today, Cee's Tizzy is recognized as an important conduit of the rare Man o' War sire line which now flows almost exclusively stateside through Tizamagician.

A lovely, permanent tribute to Tizamagician's famous descendants -- the sire and dam of the legendary Man o' War.

Historic horse cemetery, with a life-size bronze sculpture of Fair Play, the sire of Man O’War. Both Fair Play and Mahubah (Man O’War’s dam) are buried in the cemetery (along with many other notable horses). The statue is the work of Laura Gardin Fraser. Normandy Farm, Lexington, Kentucky.

More Man o' War goodness!

Tizamagician is a direct sire line descendant -- increasingly rare to find these days.

Man o' War at age 30. Of the top U.S thoroughbred champions of the 20th century, Man o' War is ranked number one. In the Lawrence Realization Stakes, all other competitors but one pulled their horses out because they did not want to compete against him. He ended up winning by over 100 lengths, while setting a new world record of 2:40-4/5 for a mile and five-eighths, besting the previous record by six seconds in a track record that still stands🐎

All-time great racehorse -- and extremely influential sire -- NORTHERN DANCER was a May 27 foal, disproving the stigma that "late-foaling" Thoroughbreds are not successful, or desirable.

Oh...it's California's most exciting young stallion, simply bursting with excitement over his very promising future. 😎

That time Tizamagician thought he was Pegasus and came out of the gate flying. 😍 Somehow, he still managed to finish second in the Brooklyn Stakes that day. The one time he raced outside of California. (Not my photo. Can't find who to give photo credit to. Great shot, though!)
