Congratulations to Nick Taylor on winning the WM Phoenix Open, marking his 4th PGA Tour title. Taylor finished 2nd in the tournament last year and this year forced a playoff against Charley Hoffman which he won on the 2nd hole with an 11-foot putt.

This week in , the first Ryder Cup was held at the Worcester Country Club in Massachussets. The United States team was captained by the great Walter Hagen and Ted Ray captained the British team.
