Recently, G***k released the Gen 6 with Aimpoint COA bundle and we were able to snag one. I have got to spend a fair amount of time behind the COA over the last several months and it has slowly become one of my favorite dots on the market. It features an enclosed emitter to protect your emitter when conditions are poor while also providing a large enough field of view to not get the “tunnel vision” some get with other enclosed emitter options. We don’t know when we will get our hands on another one, so if you’ve been wanting to give the COA a try, swing by before this one disappears!

Well we started with 52 cases yesterday and we are down to 19. We will just say we are pleasantly surprised. To those who have asked, we aren’t 100% sure yet what we will do with the money. While we appreciate all of our local charities and groups, we are wanting the money to go directly to someone who might be going through a rough patch. We have channels to find someone, but we appreciate the ideas given so far. Also if you asked us to hold one (or ten) for you, we can’t keep up with the ever growing list of people who have asked, so they are first come first serve.

We will be closed tomorrow as we help our friends at Dixon's Auction with another great gun auction. We hope to see you there and if not, we will see you next week!

Sooo we had something a little strange greet us at the shop yesterday. When we pulled up, a large stack of mostly new, empty rifle cases were at our door. No note. No explanation. Just there.

So we are gonna pay it forward. Most of these cases are brand new (minus tags) and retail for around $20 typically. So here’s the plan. We are going to sell them for $10 a piece and at the end of April, we are going to donate all the proceeds to someone local in need.

Swing in and grab a decent bag at a great price while helping one of our neighbors who might be going through a tough time!

For those who have watched what has happened previously during world conflicts, here is a trend I am noticing with ammo. Over 1000 SKUs have went out of stock over the last week through just one of my distributors. Primarily the shortages are being notated as 9mm, 223/556, and 380ACP. While I don't think it is time to panic buy as I am pretty consistently getting calls from my reps saying that they got this or that in stock, if things get any more unstable across the world I could see a return back to 2020 type of availability/pricing.

What is my take as of now?
It is not time to panic buy. All that will do is continue to drive prices up and availability down. My best recommendation is to continue to follow ammo availability. I will be doing my best to keep prices as low as I can, while also maintaining availability. Do a personal inventory on what you are sitting on currently, figure out how much you think you may want/need to get you through the next several months, and start buying in increments at a time. We will be keeping a little more of the calibers starting to become difficult to find on hand, however you may notice a slight shift in price.

What a day it has been.

After a quick trip to the vet and getting some meds, we are doing better now. Onyx will be taking a couple weeks of some well deserved R&R, but as long as things stay the same, the shop will reopen tomorrow. Once again, sorry any inconvenience!

January always promises a few things every year.

1. Lots of new products are brought to the industry at SHOT Show in Vegas.
2. We will be closed for a week.
3. My bank account hates me.
