We are providing an update regarding the JFK pool. Our team has contacted the pool company to obtain a revised timeline for the repair of the pool liner. They have indicated that the scheduled timeframe remains late June. Additionally, we have arranged for Paragon Pools to conduct a thorough inspection of our lines next week to ensure there are no leaks. We are working diligently to resolve these matters and ensure the pool's optimal operation.

While we had every intention to opening JFK pool this weekend the city of Tell City will like to be completely transparent with the citizens on the opening of the pool. We are currently working on having the liner inspected and evaluated. For the safety of the Tell City residents and visitors who use our pool, we want to ensure any issues are properly resolved so we can provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. The company that installed the liner will also be completing the work in order to keep the liner under warranty. We are hoping to be open by the end of June and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through this process. The splash pad is open.

Important Announcement – JFK Pool Closure for the Remainder of the 2025 Season

We deeply regret to inform our community that, following a thorough investigation, we have confirmed the presence of glass in the JFK pool as a result of the goggle incident that occurred over the weekend.

Due to the extensive process required to safely drain, clean, and rebalance the pool chemicals—and in the interest of the health and safety of all patrons—we have made the extremely difficult decision to close the JFK pool for the remainder of the 2025 summer season.

However, the splash pad will remain open and free to the public daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. through October 1st, at which time it will be turned off for the season. We have taken every precaution and completed a thorough inspection to ensure the splash pad area is safe and free of any glass.

We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our guests

Just a reminder we are closed today we will open for water aerobics this evening. We shared this on July 10th. While we do have our maintenance completed this is now a staffing issue I do apologize for the inconvenience! We will see you tomorrow!
