Today we celebrated promotions in both Alchemy kids classes! Every stripe and belt promotion represents more than consistent attendance. It reflects hard work, dedication, being a good training partner, and showing a positive, respectful attitude—on and off the mats.

To those who didn’t receive a stripe today: your progress matters, too. Keep showing up, putting in the effort, and growing. Everyone’s journey moves at its own pace, and your time will come.

We’re proud of every one of you!

Pressure. Precision. Relentless reps.

Lis from Camarillo Jiu Jitsu brought the details. Our Alchemy crew brought the work. Knee slice/back step—another weapon in the toolbox.

Thank you, Lis!

Interviewing some of our teenage students why they train at Alchemy, what jiu jitsu has done to them, advice for anyone who is thinking about trying jiu jitsu and why they keep coming back to Alchemy.

Elisabeth Bravo from our mothership CamarilloJiujitsu Camarillo Jiujitsu came up and showed us to keep rolling and training. With a mixed group of kids and adults of all levels, she still managed to show us a variation of knee slice pass. We are grateful to have her sharing knowledge with us and we also look forward to more high level instructions in the near future!

Today we celebrated Coach Andrew’s birthday! Thanks to Zoe who made keto friendly cup cakes for the kiddos and adults in class, we also had our special guest instructor, Lis Bravo from Camarillo jiu jitsu, to show us some awesome guard passes and guard retention. We also had our photographer George taking some action shots during class. Some of us went out to eat afterward. Thank you everyone for making Alchemy such a family friendly place. I appreciate you all❤️

🥋🔥 WE SHOWED UP. WE FOUGHT HARD. WE REPRESENTED TEHACHAPI!

Despite the power outages over the past couple of days, Alchemy Jiu Jitsu showed up today at the Ironwill Jiu Jitsu Tournament!

With last-minute changes affecting brackets and match schedules, our team stepped up! Some competitors faced their own teammates due to empty brackets, while others volunteered for EXTRA matches just to challenge themselves! 💪

❤️ Even families who weren’t competing came to cheer and support their Alchemy family!

🏆 TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS:

🥉 ALCHEMY — 3RD PLACE KIDS TEAM!

🥈 COACH ANDREW — 2ND PLACE!

🔥 COACH YIN-CHI — Running between two mats to coach simultaneous matches!

But today wasn’t just about medals.

IT WAS ABOUT SHOWING UP.

We believe in supporting our local gyms, tournaments, and the growth of jiu-jitsu in Tehachapi. Competition is about more than winning—it’s about courage, commitment, and community.

Thank you, Ironwill Jiu Jitsu, for hosting, and to our amazing competitors, coaches, and families for representing Alchemy with pride!

🖤💛 ONE TEAM. ONE FAMILY. WE SHOW UP!
