The Mid America Sport Parachute Club offers Tandem, AFF, and IAD skydiving instruction in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We are located in Taylorville , IL on Route 48 at the Taylorville Municipal Airport, just 25 minutes from Springfield, IL, 60 minutes northest of St. Louis, MO, and 60 minutes southwest of Champaign, IL, right in the middle of the state!

Well, we're here, watching the rain fall. When we get jumpable weather is anybody's guess, but not until at least 1pm.

IT'S BOOGIE TIME! If you are planning on attending the annual Old Timer's Boogie this weekend (Friday thru Sunday, Aug 14-16th) please be prepared: You will need to show us your in-date reserve rig WITH an AAD, as well as have a current waiver on file (this year. If it's dated 2025 you will need to fill out a new waiver). We have water but please hydrate! We may or may not have packers for you. The boogie fee is $50 (blame inflation) and rides to altitude are $35 to at least 12.5K (same price if you get out low because you want to or lower than 12.5K because you have to...weather). You MUST have a current A license or higher and valid USPA membership. We WILL be checking these things so please come prepared. The plane is expecting to arrive at around 11am Friday...first load shortly thereafter. Looking foward to seeing all of you!!

For all of you who knew Dave Udell, there will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, August 22nd at 5pm at the Venice Cafe in Benton Park (St. Louis). There will also be a skydiver celebration later in the fall, but for now, let's get together and remember/smile/laugh and honor a wonderful man.

MASPC will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, August 1st & 2nd. Weather forecast calls for rain all day with IFR conditions. Hopefully we'll have jumpable weather next weekend. See you then!

UPDATE: Mid America Sport Parachute Club will be closed today (Sat July 25th) due to unjumpable weather. We will try again tomorrow, Sunday July 26th.

MASPC in Taylorville will be open both Saturday and Sunday this weekend (July 25 & 26). We have tandem slots available, as well as IAD instructors. Get your jump on with us, 9am to sunset (or when the jumpers go home)!

First Jump Course being held at MASPC on Saturday, 18 July. Put you phone down, come out and get an airbath. Please note we will NOT be open on Sunday, July 19th.
