We are located in Taylorville , IL on Route 48 at the Taylorville Municipal Airport, just 25 minutes from Springfield, IL, 60 minutes northest of St. Louis, MO, and 60 minutes southwest of Champaign, IL, right in the middle of the state!

Mid America will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, May 23rd/24th due to challenging weather BUT will be open on Monday, May 25th. The weather is supposed to be much better, we will have IAD & tandem instructors available. Spend your Memorial Day getting an airbath!

MASPC will be OPEN at 9am on Saturday, May 9th. Students, get there early, the winds and clouds are supposed to creep up as the afternoon wears on. Forecast also calls for sunny skies and a high of 76°F. Instructors will be there...a tandem you ask? Yeup, come on out. Sunday we will be CLOSED. Plan accordingly.

Due to limited pilot availability, MASPC will be open today (3 May) from 10:30 to 1:30. Winds are expected to be high, so students will probably stay grounded unfortunately.

I would like to thank all of those wonderful sky family type people that came out to MASPC this past weekend (25-26 April). We flew 19 loads, had 7 tandems, (including 91 year old Dee Ann Rosko here--I was blessed to take on her first jump!), 3 first jump IAD students, many recurrency jumpers and of course our regulars. You all jumped safely and beautifully! You are why we are here...we couldn't have our club without you. Special thanks to Terry, Kenzie, Brennen, John, Dusty, Dawn, Zane, Matt, Will and Mike (if I left you out I'm sorry...it"s late). Fabulous!

Mid America Sport Parachuting Club will start jumps ops tomorrow at 1200. Weather forecast looks like many clouds early but clearing the way for sunny skies in the afternoon. Winds will likely be too high for students (see that 16 number for average wind speed?), also air temps are in the 50s on the ground (that means mid 30s at altitude). Tandems are scheduled at 3. Blue skies!
