We are a full service Dive Center and Marina located on Lake Hickory in Taylorsville, NC. We can train you from Openwater all the way to Instructor. We teach through Scuba School International (SSI), and have over 78 years experience in the industry. We are a full line Mares, SeaLife, OS Systems, XS Scuba, Trident dealers. We offer tank fills, hydros, and visual inspections. We are PCI / PSI certi

fied. We specialize in Public Safety Diving, Technical Scuba Diving, and Recreational Scuba. We offer trips every month and several big trips a year. We are just feet off the water, so grab some gear and jump right in. Have you ever wondered about the history of Lake Hickory? The Lake Hickroy Scuba Center family has a very long family history with the lake and it's beginning. Dating all the way back to prior 1928, thousands of acres of farm land was flooded with the completion of Oxford Dam. As the Catawba River began to flood, the water level rised and eroded most of the road beds away. To this day, many of the structures that once stood, homesteads to our family, still remain as piles of rubble and broken foundations. Our divers get to see these structures while diving out in front of our facility, but with the current drought, some of foundations can be seen from the surface. For nearly 100 years, these long forgotten buildings and structures have remained hidden under the water, but are now coming to light.
