Pure Grit Softball NC Fueling passion. Building character. Playing with grit. Pure Grit Softball currently has two age divisions 8U and 12U. Based in Alexander County, NC.

Pure Grit Softball is a team of girls & their families based in Alexander County, NC. This team is founded on hard work and determination. Families involved with the team are dedicated to the players and the sport. We will host Spring 2023 tryouts for the Travel Ball Tournament season coming up on November 19th & would love to meet you for a try out.

💜🏆 PROMOTED 🏆💜

The road wasn't easy, and that's what makes this moment so special.

Over the last several tournaments, our girls chose to challenge themselves by competing against tougher, more seasoned teams. We came up just short of the wins needed for promotion, but every game, every inning, and every lesson helped prepare us for what was next.

This past weekend, the girls handled business.

They competed with confidence, played together, and earned the results they had been working toward.

As a result, Pure Grit 12U has officially been promoted to the B Division. To celebrate, the girls were treated to tacos for dinner and got to work with our 8U crew to help prepare them for their first 10U tournament coming up next weekend.

We're proud of these athletes for trusting the process, embracing the challenge, and never backing down when things got tough.

The goal has never been to take the easy path. The goal has always been growth.

Another proud moment for our 12U squad this past weekend in Concord.💜

We’re excited to share that the following players have earned invitations to the TopGun All-Star All-American Tournament based on their stellar hitting and/or pitching performances:

💜🖤 SATURDAY RECAP: 4-0 GOLD BRACKET CHAMPIONSHIP DAY 🖤💜

What started with a rain delay and slippery conditions quickly turned into a day to remember for Pure Grit 12U.

The girls came out focused, aggressive, and ready to compete, finishing the day with four straight wins:

🥎 8-2 vs MP Lady Bombers
🥎 17-2 vs Next Top Recruits Denis
🥎 10-0 vs Dirtbags Softball
🥎 6-3 vs Southern Chaos Allen

Offensively, the bats were alive all day. Timely hits, disciplined at-bats, aggressive baserunning, and constant pressure on opposing defenses helped fuel a total of 41 runs across four games.

Defensively, the team was outstanding. The girls played clean softball throughout the day, recording multiple games without an error while getting strong performances in the circle from Morgan, Addi, Piper, Kinsley, Aubrey, and Hadley along with catchers Maddie, Hadley, & Mya. The defense behind them was steady and reliable all tournament long.

A few highlights from the day:

⭐ Kinsley collected multiple hits in Game 1 and threw a complete game victory in Game 4 with 6 strikeouts.
⭐ Piper was dominant both at the plate and in the circle, leading Game 3 with a 2-for-3 performance and a four-inning shutout with Hadley at Catcher
⭐ Mya was a spark at the top of the lineup all day, collecting hits, driving in runs, and creating havoc on the bases.
⭐ Double Play from Mya at short to Morgan at first
⭐ BEAUTIFUL RELAY in game 2 on a big time hit to Halle in right field to Addi (2B) to Hadley (P) to Kinsley (3B) for the OUT!
⭐ The team combined for dozens of stolen bases and consistently turned walks into runs with aggressive baserunning.

Most importantly, this group continues to play for each other. Through weather delays, long waits, and four games in one day, they stayed locked in, supported one another, and competed the Pure Grit way.
