✨CARDS by KIDS for WNC✨
We have a special mission until 10/25 for local kids to creatively share love, encouragement and hope to residents in NWC.
They have been working **tirelessly** for their families and community members every. single. day. since the hurricane to rescue, recover, deliver life-saving supplies, and hold in grief. While donation supplies pour in all across the country (and we have our own Amazon donation wishlist to aid in those efforts), we want to provide emotional support in one of the most ✨magical✨ways ever:
🎨 A lovingly created card by a child. 🖍️
We will be delivering these cards to WNC communities along with Amazon-donated supplies in 2 weeks. During this time, kids can create as many cards as they wish, inviting their friends and classmates to join in.
Ready to take on this mission??🫡
Here’s what to do:
💛 Cards should be no larger than 11x17 but kids can make as many as they wish.
🩷 Messages inside could be things like… “We/I love you”, “We’re here for you”, “You’re not alone”, or our favorites from one of our KidsKrav students: “I hope you are safe” and “You can do it”.
💚 Once finished, cards should be placed all together in a folder, manila envelope, or box to help protect them during transport. If you’re making cards with your classroom or specific group, write your school/group name on it so we can thank you and let residents know who created them.
💜 DROP OFF your folder/envelope/box of cards at Eastside Family YMCA in Taylors (1250 Taylors Rd.) who has graciously agreed to help collect cards for us!
🧡 If you have a big collection at a school or business, you can **message Perigon** and we will happily come and pick them up.
💙 The LAST DAY to drop off cards will be FRIDAY, October 25th. We’ll then post photos and pictures of our card deliveries that weekend to let kids see the hope and encouragement they have given! 🎨🖍️✨
And if you want to help with our supply donations, we are working with Babb’s Plumbing & Backflow Services to collect critical Phase 2 & 3 items to help residents survive the cold weather, set up communications for those still stuck or isolated, and stay protected during cleanup efforts as they work to reclaim homes in often toxic environments.
Here is the link to our Amazon wishlist below. You can reach out to us directly with any questions or if you have any of these items on hand in LIKE NEW condition to donate.
