Spirit Airlines shut down May 2, 2026 — but before their 17,000 employees even had time to panic, United, American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, Frontier, Allegiant, Avelo, and Breeze were already holding the door open.
Preferential interviews. Dedicated hiring portals. Fast-tracked applications. These aren't pity moves — airlines are desperate for trained crew right now. Pandemic retirements left the industry scrambling, and Spirit's collapse just dropped 17,000 certified, ready-to-work professionals into their laps.
JetBlue even extended jumpseat access for two weeks so Spirit pilots and flight attendants could fly home free. That's not corporate — that's community.

Yep, Blair Moody Girls Bittyball are the 2025 Season Winners!! 🥇🏆 This team worked so hard this season… improving with every game. Today’s games were hard fought and the team rallied, proving that they were there to win!! I couldn’t be prouder of all, but as a parent- I happen to think the coach is an amazing person 😍. I hope the girls (& their families) enjoyed the basketball experience… many of these girls had never even held a basketball before the season started. Congratulations to you all!!
