Help us congratulate one of our hardworking city workers, Gavin Cook, on graduating high school last night!

He does an amazing job mowing and maintaining our city park and the Veterans Memorial Garden, always making sure everything looks its very best. His dedication and work ethic do not go unnoticed, and we are so proud of him for reaching this important milestone.

The City of Taylor would like to extend a sincere thank you to Layla Whitlock, a student at Taylor Elementary, for generously donating her ornament to our city for display. ❤️

Layla’s hand drawn design was selected to be featured at the Arkansas State Capitol in Little Rock as part of the Arkansas Celebrates America250 initiative. Her ornament beautifully represents our community with the Taylor welcome sign, showcasing her hometown pride.

We are also proud to recognize fellow Taylor Elementary students Monollie Powell and Reid Blackburn, who were selected to represent Taylor as well. All participants were invited to the State Capitol to see their ornaments displayed on the Christmas tree—such a special honor!

Please join us in thanking Layla for her thoughtful donation and congratulating all three students on this outstanding achievement! 🎉 The ornament will be displayed in the city library. We welcome everyone to stop by and check it out!
