A little country-road ride, a giant TAYLOR sign, and two very cool bikes. 🚲

We stopped at Spark! Places of Innovation, the Smithsonian exhibit at the historic Heidenheimer Building, which tells stories about small towns accomplishing pretty remarkable things when people work toward a common goal — along with some Taylor history and seriously beautiful historic cars.

It felt especially fitting to roll up there by bike.

We spend so much time thinking about what Taylor has been, what it is now, and what it could become. Sometimes it’s nice to just ride through it, stop somewhere interesting, and remember how much history and possibility can exist in one little town.

Also: our bikes looked really good there. šŸ˜‚

This one was too good not to share. šŸ‘€šŸ’š

An Electra Rat Fink cruiser came through the shop for some much-needed love. Under a pretty impressive layer of dust was metallic green paint, white flames, whitewalls, a triple-tree fork, matching Rat Fink saddle and grips, Moon eyes, and the tiniest Rat Fink valve caps.

We gave it a deep clean and service, got everything rolling right again, and left the scratches, wear and patina that make an old bike like this so good.

Designed in collaboration with Ed ā€œBig Daddyā€ Roth’s Rat Fink legacy, this thing is completely ridiculous — in exactly the right way.

Swipe for the before + all the tiny details. šŸ‘€

We haven’t posted many bikes lately… we’ve been a little busy moving. šŸ˜…

So here’s a good one.

The Specialized Turbo Creo SL is probably Eddie’s favorite e-bike we’ve ever carried. It’s light, refined, surprisingly natural to ride, and packed with thoughtful details—from the Future Shock front suspension to the Shimano GRX di2 drivetrain and Specialized’s incredibly smooth SL motor.

One of those bikes that reminds you how much fun modern bikes have become.

We were supposed to be ā€œsoft openingā€ā€¦ but new bike day couldn’t wait. šŸ˜„

Congratulations on your new ride, and thanks for making this our first new bike sale at 110 N Main!

We’ll officially celebrate our Grand Opening this Saturday, but we’re already having a blast welcoming everyone into the new space.

We’re opening our doors. ā¤ļø

After weeks of painting, building, moving, and more late nights than we can count… Taylor Bike Co. has a new home.

Starting tomorrow, we’ll be soft opening at:

šŸ“ 110 N Main St, Taylor, TX

We’re still putting on the finishing touches, so you may catch us hanging signs, organizing displays, or tweaking the shop as we go. But we’re ready to help with repairs, bikes, parts, and all the cool stuff.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged us, stopped by, lent a hand, or simply cheered us on. This new space already feels like home because of this community.

Come say hi. We’d love to show you around.

So, we are in the process of our big move across the street AND want to ask: anyone free to lend a little hand Saturday and/or Sunday about 2pm-ish and on for some light packing and walking equipment over??? Thank y’all so very much!

A little sneak peek. šŸ‘€
New signs are coming together for the new shop. We can’t wait to show you the finished storefront. August 1 is getting close. 🧔🚲

07/14/2026

We’re getting ready for our move, but there’s still plenty happening at 204.

The service stand is busy, the showroom is full, and we’re offering some of our best pricing on remaining new bikes before we make the move.

If you’ve been thinking about a new bike—or your current one could use some love—we’d love to see you before July 31.

Then come visit us in our new home starting August 1. 🚲

Four years ago we celebrated our very first New Bike Day.

Since then we’ve had the privilege of sending hundreds of riders home with new bikes. We’ve watched kids grow up, celebrated with families and couples, met lifelong friends, and become part of so many stories. Every photo in this reel is a reminder that a bicycle is often the beginning of something much bigger.

This little shop has been home to so many memories, but what we’ve always been most grateful for isn’t the building—it’s the people who walked through the door.

As we get ready to open our new home on August 1, we’re feeling incredibly grateful for everyone who has trusted us along the way.

Here’s to the next chapter, and to many more New Bike Days.
