Day 2 of the youth program !! Learning the parts of the horse (Austin is not thrilled) , learning to use the reins correctly while riding, and learning to lead safely .

Every activity we complete gives children a new tool for their literacy toolbox—skills they can use for years to come.

They will learn strategies such as:

How to figure out an unfamiliar word.
How to use context clues to understand the meaning of a new word.
What to do when they need to write but don't know where to start.
And many more practical reading and writing techniques.

By the end of the program, each child will have a journal filled with the literacy tools and strategies they have learned, giving them a resource they can continue to use in the future.

We're looking for businesses or organizations to sponsor one of our upcoming Veterans Events! We have three events planned, and attendance is expected to be strong.

For $500, your sponsorship helps provide a free event for local veterans and their families and includes many promotional opportunities, as well as the chance to have a representative from your business or organization attend the event.

Girl Scouts visit ! During break we did a scavenger hunt for horses with words … then they made a sentence using the words!

🚚🎉 The delivery from Bernards Lumber arrived! 🎉🚚

Over the past five years, we've been making improvements to our facility to create a safer, more welcoming, and more accessible space for our community and events. And the upgrades keep coming!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Community Foundation for Northeast Michigan, our old wire fencing will soon be replaced with beautiful, safer wood fencing in our community area.

We're excited to see this project take shape and grateful for the support that helps us continue improving our space for everyone. Stay tuned for progress photos—and thank you for helping us build a better place for our community! ❤️🏡🔨
