Local port authorities have confirmed that airspace over Puerto Rico is temporarily closed for U.S. airlines due to military activity in Venezuela. This is impacting U.S. airline flights arriving to and departing from San Juan.

👉 Important: This situation is not related to Puerto Rico itself or the airport.

According to airport officials and an FAA notification, San Juan airspace is expected to remain closed until at least 1:00 AM on January 4, subject to further review.

What Travelers Should Do
✔️ Proceed to the airport as scheduled
✔️ Check in directly with your airline for real-time updates
✔️ Follow airline guidance for rebooking or alternate arrangements

The Puerto Rico Tourism Company Aid Center is actively assisting travelers with:
• Hotel accommodations
• Transportation
• Airline coordination

Hi my name is Jennifer and I created this Go Fund Me page to help support the Petrucco family during this very difficult chapter in their life. Joe was diagnosed with stage III pancreatic cancer in March 2023. Unfortunately, after only 2 chemotherapy treatments, Joe's immune system shut down. Being too weak to continue on, he has started hospice.

The Petrucco's are an amazing family. Joe's love for his family, even when severely ill, has always been apparent. He is a devoted husband, who would do anything and care for everyone he met. I have known Stephanie, Joe's wife since we were 16. Now my friend and sister is losing the love of her life, and their 3 children are losing their father. I have created this page to help lessen the financial burden of the family to cover their basic living expenses for the next few months until they can get on their feet, as Joe was the sole provider. Any little bit can help relieve the financial strain they are going through, while also dealing with this unimaginable loss.
