Taunton Gladiators Nationally Ranked and recognized as one of the top teams in the country the Taunton Gladiators are a The Gladiators competed for 13 years as an organization.

The Taunton Gladiators Semi-Pro Football team were an adult amateur football team based out of Taunton, MA. The Gladiators are members of the East Coast Football League and compete annually during the summer-fall months. The team is comprised of former high school, college, and pro athletes that live in the area and all continue to play for the love of the game. In that time frame, the Gladiators

made 10 playoff appearances and 8 championship appearances winning the league title in 2010, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018. From 2014-2020, the Gladiators have dominated the competition on the National Level compiling a 51-6 record and multiple Bowl Trophies. Since the inaugural season, the Gladiators have had one the best fan bases in semi-pro football. We hope to continue that tradition by offering some of the best local family-friendly entertainment at an affordable price. It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of former Taunton Gladiators Head Coach Bob Turner. Coach Turner was the organizations first ever head coach (2009-2011) and laid the foundation for the future success of the Gladiators. In 2010 Coach Turner would lead the Gladiators to its first ever championship in a thrilling 32-21 win over the Clinton Irish Blizzard. The Gladiator family would like to extend our condolences to the Turner family at this difficult time. He will be truly missed.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Polson, Defensive Coordinator of the Taunton Gladiators from 2016-2021. Kevin joined the Gladiators in 2016 and made an immediate impact upon arrival. His defensive knowledge and expertise helped the Gladiators win multiple EFL and New England championships (2016, 2017, 2018) along with being one of the top and feared defenses in New England. Under his direction as defensive coordinator the team would take recognition as the #1 nationally ranked semi professional football team 3 years in a row. His passion for the game and commitment to the team was also passed along to players in the role of mentor and role model to many. The Gladiators pass along our deepest condolences to his wife Kim, his daughter Allie and his two sons, Mark and Alex. He will be greatly missed by all. We love you coach!
