This week’s YCON recognition goes to Peter Doherty! 💪

Peter is a shining example of dedication, consistency, and what it means to be part of our YMCA community. Whether he’s focused on his own health and strength training goals or balancing the demands of everyday life, Peter always finds time to lend a helping hand when it’s needed most.

You may have seen Peter helping with our Spinathon social media efforts, moving weights throughout the Fitness Center, or volunteering his time and energy whenever an extra set of hands is needed. His willingness to step up without hesitation and support others embodies the spirit of the Y.

Peter’s commitment to bettering himself while helping strengthen our community does not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do and for being such a positive example for those around you!

At LIVESTRONG, every gathering is about more than just the food—it’s about the people around the table.

Friday, our incredible LIVESTRONG community came together to enjoy a delicious Lobster Day celebration filled with laughter, friendship, and support. From sharing stories and encouragement to simply enjoying each other’s company, moments like these remind us that strength is found not only within ourselves, but in the connections we build with one another.

⏳🏆 Time may have flown by, but we certainly haven’t forgotten about the biggest contest of the year! 🏆⏳

We know our Spinathon stars have been patiently waiting, and we wanted to make sure their awards were just right before presenting them. After all, accomplishments this special deserve trophies that match the effort, dedication, and spirit behind them!

🎭 Congratulations to Sally “The Card Shark” Snider, winner of our Best Costume Award, who brought creativity, fun, and plenty of personality to this year’s event.

💙 And a huge congratulations to Linda Harlfinger, recipient of our Fundraising Excellence Award, for going above and beyond for her team and helping make this year’s Spinathon our most successful one yet!

To everyone who voted, participated, fundraised, cheered others on, and patiently waited while we put the finishing touches on these awards—thank you! Your enthusiasm and support are what make events like Spinathon so special.
