Girls Varsity Lacrosse
The girls varsity lacrosse team celebrated their seven seniors at Senior Night by beating Cape Cod Tech 14-7 on Wednesday in their last home game of their incredible season. Emma Giovenelli had 10 saves in net, Emma Ericson scored 7 goals, and scored her 100th goal of the season, Addie Melusky had 5 goals, and Emily Santos and Sabrina Wolfe each contributed a goal. They now carry a 15-3 record as they move into the State Preliminary round. Tomorrow they compete for the vocational title against Essex Tech at 12:30. Let’s go, girls!!

Girls Track and Field placed second at Mayflower Conference Meet
On May 18, the girls' track and field team traveled to Blue Hills for the Mayflower League Championship Meet, competing against 10 teams. The girls got second place overall in their conference. Big shout outs to Mari Albon who placed 2nd in Javelin and shot out. Mary MacDonald who placed first in the para 100m, 400m and 800m. Zoey Onuegbu who placed 3rd in the 200m, 2nd in Long Jump and 1st in the 100m. Thea Cote, who placed 1st in the 1-mile and 2-mile. Great job to all the girls who competed at the meet!

Freshmen Baseball
The freshmen baseball team rode a 14-run first inning as they continued their torrid play with a 20-0 5-inning game vs. Westport. Tyler Cabral tossed a no-hitter with Will Bradley finishing the no-hitter. Liam Thompson went 4-4 on the day and Jaxon Elderkin and Landon Cao added multiple hits. Next game is at home today vs. Blue Hills.

In the MVADA playoffs, the No. 3 BP Varsity Girls lacrosse team emerged victorious, defeating the No. 2 seed Shawsheen Rams 8-7 in overtime.
No. 7 Sophia Jacobs tied the game, while No. 2 Emma Ericson scored the game-winner in sudden death, assisted by No. 1 Addie Melusky.
The team will compete in the championship game at No. 1 seed Essex Tech on Thursday. Good luck, Girls!!

Girls Lacrosse
Girls' varsity lacrosse had a major victory over Old Colony yesterday, 8-6. This makes their record 12-3 for the season. Incredible defense, amazing midfield denial to transition the ball, and an unstoppable attack. Despite only securing 3 of the 18 draws, the girls caused many turnovers that led to several goals. Goals scored by Addie Melusky, Emma Ericson, and Sabrina Wolfe. Even though JV did not come out on top, they did play an excellent game, showing much improvement on defense and attack. Paige Nadeau had two goals and Leah Ellse had her first goal!

Freshmen Baseball
The B-P freshmen team came within 1 strike of pulling off a major upset, but they couldn’t hold on to a 5-1 lead in the 5th and fell to an undefeated Greater New Bedford team by a 6-5 score. Jaxon Elderkin and Travis Prisco led the offense with 2 hits apiece. Maxton Mills went 4 1/3 tossing a 3-hitter. Then Tyler Cabral was the tough luck loser as 2 errors with 2 outs in the 7th and a misplayed fly ball to end the game cost the young freshmen. They are back at it today vs. Diman.
