Chaos vs. RI Rockets – Bracket Play Game 2 (June 14)

πŸ’œπŸ©΅πŸ₯ŽChaos came ready to battle in Game 2 of bracket play against the RI Rockets. The defense set the tone early, holding the Rockets to just one run in the first inning while Chaos answered with two runs of their own to take an early lead.
Through the first three innings, Chaos relied on strong defensive play to stay in the game. Key plays from Saoirse Hannon, Casey Giles, Alice Hirschy, Mayve Pinto, and Ella Nardozzi helped keep the Rockets in check, while Isabel Medeiros added a clutch pop fly catch to help close out an inning.
The bats came alive in the top of the third and never slowed down. Chaos put together an impressive offensive surge, scoring the maximum four runs in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings. Leading the charge was Saoirse Hannon, who blasted two doubles, while Ava Hathaway added a double of her own. The biggest hit of the game belonged to Izzy Rose, who launched a home run that energized the Chaos dugout and fueled the comeback effort.
Despite trailing early, Chaos continued to chip away and battled until the final out. The team rallied back with relentless offense but ultimately fell just short, dropping a hard-fought contest to the Rockets, 17-14.

Chaos Survive and Advance! 6/14

Chaos 15, Stone Crabs 14
With bracket play underway and a win-or-go-home matchup on the line, Chaos showed grit, determination, and timely hitting to earn a thrilling 15-14 victory over the Stone Crabs and advance to Game 2 against the RI Rockets.
Chaos came out swinging, putting up the maximum 4 runs in each of the first three innings while holding the Stone Crabs to just 6 runs during that stretch.
The defense set the tone early in the first inning when Casey Giles snagged a pop fly and quickly turned it into a double play to end the threat.
The bats answered immediately. Ella Nardozzi led off the bottom of the first with a double. Izzy Rose and Alice Hirschy followed with singles before Taylin Oman drove in runs with a double, helping Chaos jump out to an early lead.
The Stone Crabs threatened again in the third, but Chaos limited the damage to just two runs. Once again, Casey Giles came through defensively, ending the inning with another impressive double play.
The bottom of the third featured an offensive explosion from Chaos. Ella Nardozzi started things off with another double, followed by a triple from Casey Giles. Saoirse Hannon added a double, Izzy Rose singled, Taylin Oman collected another double, and both Mayve Pinto and Isabel Medeiros contributed singles as Chaos continued to build its advantage.
The Stone Crabs refused to go away, rallying for 7 runs in the fifth inning to cut the lead to just one run and put the pressure squarely on Chaos.
With the game on the line, the defense stood tall. Key plays from Cali Otis and Casey Giles helped shut the door and secure the hard-fought 15-14 victory.

Chaos Battle Back for a Tie Against the Bombers!

Chaos wrapped up Day 1 with an exciting 10-10 tie against the Bombers in a game filled with big defensive plays and late-inning heroics.
Chaos came out firing defensively, recording pop-fly outs on the first two Bombers batters of the game and setting the tone early. The offense followed suit in the bottom of the 1st, collecting 7 hits and scoring 4 runs to jump out to an early lead.
Chaos continued to shine, holding the Bombers scoreless through the first three innings and allowing just 2 runs in the 4th. Key defensive plays came from Cali Otis and Casey Giles, who each tracked down important pop flies to keep the Bombers in check.
Chaos answered right back in the bottom of the 4th, putting another 4 runs on the board. Casey Giles and Taylin Oman each blasted doubles, while Alice Hirschy, Isabel Medeiros, Violet Fasano, and Sophia Aponte added singles to fuel the rally.
After the Bombers mounted a comeback in the 5th and 6th innings to take a 10-8 lead, Chaos refused to quit. With two outs in the bottom of the 6th, Mayve Pinto delivered a clutch hit to center field, driving in two runs and tying the game at 10-10 to cap off an exciting finish.
At the plate, Cali Otis was perfect, going 3-for-3 on the day.

A comeback win for Chaos!

The game started with a defensive spark as Cali Otis snagged a pop fly at the mound for the first out of the game. The Rockets came out swinging, however, and Chaos found themselves trailing 5-0 heading into the bottom of the 2nd inning.
Chaos began to chip away at the deficit when Alice Hirschy drilled a double to center field, helping put the first run on the board. The offense came alive in the inning, plating 4 runs to cut the Rockets' lead to 5-4.
The turning point came in the 3rd inning. Chaos' defense shut the door, holding the Rockets scoreless. Mayve Pinto was a standout at third base, recording two fly-ball catches to help keep the momentum on Chaos' side.
In the bottom half of the inning, Chaos collected five hits and scored two runs to take their first lead of the game. Cali Otis delivered an RBI double, followed by an RBI double from Taylin Oman, putting Chaos in front 6-5.
From there, the defense took over.
Chaos held the Rockets scoreless in the 4th inning behind strong pitching and defense, including two plays by Violet Fasano at pitcher and a pop fly catch at first base by Cali Otis. The defensive dominance continued in the 5th as Ava Hathaway made two key plays to keep the Rockets off the scoreboard once again.
For an incredible 2Β½ innings, neither team scored as Chaos protected their slim 6-5 lead heading into the bottom of the 6th.
Looking for some insurance runs, Chaos delivered. Casey Giles started the rally with a single to center. Taylin Oman followed with a double to center, and Alice Hirschy drove in a run with an RBI double to left field. Singles from Mayve Pinto and Isabel Medeiros kept the line moving before Ava Hathaway capped the inning with an RBI single. Chaos scored three runs in the frame to extend their lead and put the game away.
After falling behind 5-0 early, Chaos responded with 9 unanswered runs, combining timely hitting, outstanding defense, and clutch performances throughout the lineup to earn a hard-fought 9-5 victory over the RI Rockets.

Day 1 Game 1 recapπŸ₯Ž

Chaos battled hard in a high-scoring matchup against RI Storm, ultimately falling 17-11. Despite the result, the team showed plenty of fight on both sides of the ball.
Defensively, the highlight plays came behind the plate and in the field. Taylin Oman was outstanding at catcher, recording two caught pop flies- both from the same inning, while Violet Fasano and Mayve Pinto each added a caught pop fly of their own to help limit scoring opportunities.
At the plate, the Chaos offense was firing. Casey Giles led the way with an impressive day, collecting three singles and a triple. Mayve Pinto and Ella Nardozzi were also big contributors, each recording two singles and a double. Violet Fasano added to the offensive attack with a double of her own

This is the THIRD Semifinal appearance for these girls !

What an incredible weekend for our Chaos 10U team! . These girls competed with heart, determination, and teamwork, earning their third semifinal appearance of the season. Their resilience and commitment were on full display throughout the tournament, and we couldn’t be prouder of their effort and sportsmanship.

Game 1: Chaos 10U vs. Somerset Berkley Wildcats 10U

Chaos opened the day with a dominant 12-0 victory over Somerset Berkley Wildcats 10U.

The offense came alive early, scoring four runs in the first inning behind key hits from Autumn and Mia C. In the circle, Autumn set the tone with four strikeouts while the defense backed her up with outstanding play.

Chaos continued to apply pressure in the second and third innings, adding eight more runs. Riley and Mia C delivered clutch hits, while Aubrey T showcased her speed on the bases with multiple stolen bases. Defensively, Liberty made several outstanding plays at second base, helping keep the Wildcats off the scoreboard. Aubrey M & Mia C with a great outfields hits. Riley with a Triple and amazing line drive to the outfield.

Offensively, Autumn led the way, going 2-for-2 with two singles, while Riley and Mia C also turned in perfect performances at the plate. Highlights included an incredible scoop-and-throw by Aubrey T from third base across the diamond to Riley at first to secure an out, an impressive double by Mia M, and a great defensive play behind the plate by Riley, who threw down to Olivia A at second base to catch a runner attempting to steal. Liberty & Aubrey M laid down some amazing bunts.

The energy was contagious as every player recorded a hit, contributing to a complete team victory and an impressive all-around performance.

Game 2: Semifinal – Chaos 10U vs. Seekonk Warriors

Chaos faced a tough opponent in the semifinals and battled hard from start to finish.

Autumn delivered another outstanding performance in the circle, recording nine strikeouts and keeping Chaos within reach throughout the game. The offense got an early spark from Aubrey T, whose line-drive hit to the outfield energized the team right from the start.

Defensively, Chaos made several standout plays. Autumn, Riley, and Olivia A combined for an impressive double play, recording two crucial outs. Riley and Olivia A continued to shine defensively, making key plays throughout the game, while Aubrey T and Liberty contributed offensively with singles.

Although Seekonk was able to build a lead, Chaos never stopped competing. The girls showed tremendous resilience, determination, and teamwork, battling until the final out and continuing to prove why they are one of the top teams in the tournament.

Despite a tough matchup, the Chaos girls competed with heart against a strong Rehoboth Thunder team but unfortunately couldn’t secure the win.

Offensively, Aubrey T led the way, going 1-for-2 at the plate with a single and a walk. She showed great defensive skills out on the field. In the circle, Autumn delivered an outstanding performance, recording an impressive 9 strikeouts. Defensively, Liberty made several key plays, contributing 4 crucial outs to help keep the game competitive.

The turning point came in the first inning as clutch pitching from Mia C and timely hits from Olivia A, Riley, and Mia C helped the team rally and tie the game. Offensively, Olivia A was perfect at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a single and a double. Mia C also had a flawless day offensively, finishing 2-for-2 with two singles.

In the circle, Mia C recorded 4 strikeouts, while Autumn added 3 strikeouts of her own. Strong defense and timely hitting helped seal the victory and showcase the team’s determination and teamwork.
