LUNACHICS NIGHT 🔥 9•3•26

We definitely missed our fearless leader, Coach Desiree 🖤 tonight, but Coach Barbara took over the only way Coach Barbara would 😂🔥 and kept the LunaChics learning, laughing & causing problems on the mats. 😈🥋

Armbar after armbar after armbar 💪🏼😈 — drilling the details, finding the angles, and getting those reps IN.

We brought it back to some closed guard fundamentals 🔒, worked a cross-collar choke, and in celebration of being reunited with all that beautiful extra fabric… 🥋 finished with a lapel choke with a little ✨ FLAIR ✨ because if we're gonna choke our friends, we might as well make it cute. 💅🏼😂

The effort was there.
The attitude was there.
The fun was DEFINITELY there. 🖤🔥

We showed up, gave what we had, learned some $hit, laughed a lot, and left a little better than we walked in.

Another awesome night on the mats with the Lunachics! 💜

Tonight we worked on **X-Guard sweeps**, drilling technique, getting those reps in, and helping each other level up. Strong women, good vibes, and plenty of laughs — exactly what Thursday nights are all about!

And of course, we couldn’t let the night end without giving **Killer Katie** a proper **BIRTHDAY BEATDOWN!** 🎂🥋😂 Happy Early Birthday, Katie Bernier !!!

LUNACHICS NIGHT 🔥 8•6•26

NO-GI NINJA PRACTICE 🥷🏼🥋

Started with some closed guard work 🔒 and a choke 😈... plus, because Jiu-Jitsu rarely gives a s**t about Plan A, we worked our backup plan for when that choke doesn't work 😂➡️

From there we hit a turtle sweep 🐢🧹, worked through some guard passing options 🥋💨, and finished the night with positional drilling 🔄🔥 to put it all together.

Plan A doesn't work? Cool. We got B, C & D. 😏

Learning how to connect the pieces, react when something doesn't go as planned, and keep moving forward is where the fun really starts. 🧠💪🏼

Worked through a transition from a failed side control escape into turtle, then how to recover and regain guard instead of accepting a bad position. 🥋

From there we added two different choke options 😈 and finished the night with some positional drilling to tie everything together and get plenty of live reps in.

It's the little details, the repetitions, and learning what to do when Plan A doesn't work that make the biggest difference.

Started the night with some movement, then got right into control, position, and submission—because one leads to the next. 🥋

We worked through 100 Kilos, breaking down how to maintain heavy pressure, breaking guard, and a few half guard passing options to keep the momentum moving forward... then we wrapped it all up by learning a few ways to choke our friends. 😂🤙🏼

Energy was a little low tonight—we've all had a long week. But we still showed up... for ourselves and for each other. 🖤

And of course, we had the cutest little mascot hanging out with us all night... a whole ass angel. 😇

•Started the night with our warm-ups
•Threw in a few new fancy movements 💃🏼
•Got some extra reps on the fundamentals thanks to the new extended space in our little nook! 💓

Tonight we worked on Lockdown 🔒—how to control the position, hit a couple sweeps, and more importantly... what to do when your first sweep doesn't work.

Because let's be honest... the first attempt doesn't always go as planned. 😂 Having a backup plan is what keeps you one step ahead.

We finished the night with 3 rounds of rolling 🤼‍♀️, putting everything we worked on to the test and getting some live reps in.
