Gloves and trash bags/buckets will be provided. Meet on the Southwest side of the beach. Free parking is available at the beach.

Ready to start your sewing journey or grow your skills? Join us for one (or more!) of our fun, hands-on beginner sewing classes!

🧷 Absolute Beginner Sewing – NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
Brand new to sewing? This step-by-step class introduces you to your sewing machine and builds confidence from the ground up. By the end, you’ll create your very own Burrito-Style pillowcase! All supplies are included.
📅 Dates & Times: September 12 & 19, 8:30-11:30am (Saturdays)

🧶 Large Clutch Sewing
We’ll cover essential techniques and put them to use by creating a stylish clutch from start to finish. You will practice installing a zipper, adding a lining, using different thread and bobbin colors and attach a handle. Perfect for boosting confidence and skills! All supplies are included.
📅 Dates & Times: September 11 & 18, 12:30-3:30pm (Fridays)

👖Beginner Pajama/Capri Sewing
In this beginner friendly class you will learn how to cut and follow a basic pattern while understanding fabric grain and proper layout. We will cover how to finish seams with a zigzag stich and how to create a professional hem. By the end, you will have a cozy pair of pajama/capris handmade by you.
📅 Dates & Times: September 10 & 17, 3-6pm (Thursdays)

🪡 Beginner Appliqué Sewing
Learn the basics of appliqué in an easy, confidence-building class designed for beginner sewists. We’ll cover essential techniques and put them to use by creating a charming envelope-style pillowcase to showcase your design. Perfect for boosting creativity and skills! All supplies are included.
📅 Dates & Times: October 8 & 15, 3-6pm (Thursdays)

🚨TONIGHT, 9/3
The Tarpon Springs Recreation Division presents an evening with Ultra Vinyl on Thursday, September 3rd at Sunset Beach from 7-9pm. Enjoy a night under the stars while listening to rock hits & more. Parking begins at 5pm.
🗺Sunset Beach is located at 1800 Gulf Rd. The event is FREE. 🚫🐕🐈‍⬛🦚🚫🍹🍔🍋We will have vendors on-site selling food, drinks, and sweets.
🍺🍷Pets and alcohol are prohibited.
⛈In the event of a rainout, the concert will be held the following Thursday. Postponement notification will be made at 5pm.
🚌We provide a complimentary shuttle to assist with transporting concertgoers to and from the beach. The pick-up location is in the Tarpon Springs High School side parking lot located on Florida Avenue, just south of Gulf Road. Shuttle signs are directing you where to turn in. The shuttle begins at 6 pm and ends at 9:15 pm. Parking fees are waived beginning at 5 pm for Sunset Beach Concerts.
🌴🪣⛱️ Help to fill the borrow bin by bringing a sand toy! The kids really enjoy having new sand toys to play with!

🏀Youth Basketball Skills Clinic is coming back!!!🏀
Our Youth Basketball Skills instructional program begins Saturday, September 5th. Open to ages 8–14, this four-week clinic is designed to help young athletes improve their fundamentals and overall game.
Under the guidance of Coach Dee, participants will develop essential skills including footwork, agility, ball handling, passing, shooting, defense, speed, and coordination.
📅 Saturdays, 10:00AM- 11:30AM
