Help Support Ona Cosenza on Her Road to Recovery

Anyone who has had the pleasure of visiting Cypress Run Golf Club knows Ona Cosenza.

For the past five years, Ona has been the smiling face behind our Beverage Cart. Whether it was a cold drink on a hot afternoon, a kind word, or simply remembering your favorite beverage, Ona has always gone above and beyond to make every member and guest feel special. Her warm personality, infectious smile, and genuine care for others have made her one of the most beloved employees at Cypress Run Golf Club.

To us, she is much more than a Beverage Cart Attendant—she is family.

On Saturday, July 25, Ona's life changed in an instant.

While riding her fiancé's scooter, she was involved in a devastating accident that left her with life-threatening injuries. She suffered a severe traumatic brain injury that caused bleeding on her brain, requiring emergency surgery to relieve the pressure by opening her skull and draining the bleeding. She also sustained a fractured pelvis, multiple broken ribs, a broken jaw, and a broken clavicle.

Since the accident, Ona has undergone multiple surgeries to stabilize her injuries. She has spent several days in the Intensive Care Unit, where she fought through the most critical stage of her recovery. On July 29, one of the biggest milestones came when doctors were able to remove her breathing tube—a sign that she is moving in the right direction.

While this is an encouraging step, her journey is only just beginning.

Ona faces months of hospitalization, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and recovery before she can even begin to think about returning to work. During this time, she will be unable to earn an income while facing overwhelming medical expenses and everyday living costs.
