2026 Football 🏈 meeting today @ 5:00 to gather necessary paperwork, helmet fitting, equipment sizing, etc.

Please wear athletic wear and tennis shoes as we start preparing for the Season!

Lifting and Conditioning will begin next week 3x from 5:00-8:00

Remember to get your VHSL physical completed and returned to get Free Physical next Wednesday at EHS!

FREE VHSL SPORTS PHYSICALS for the 2026-2027 academic year on Wednesday, May 20th.
Physicals available to Essex County School Students for rising 8th-12th grade.

This physical will cover all sports (Fall, Winter, Spring) for the upcoming school year. A physical must be on file with the EHS Athletics Department prior to any off-season conditioning, practices or competition.

Student must return the completed VHSL physical form with parents and student signature by Monday May 18th for review.

VHSL (Rev. April 2025) forms available for pick up at EHS and JCIS front office or online at https://www.vhsl.org/vhsl-physical-form/

Completed forms are to be returned to the from office at EHS or JCIS or directly to Coach T. Jones.

Off-Season Lifting and Conditioning is ongoing on Tuesday & Thursday from 3:30-5:00. This is for all EHS student athletes and introduction for JCIS 7th & 8th graders.

🧹 SPRING CLEANING!🧹

With more and more of our sports teams using the weight room for strength training and conditioning, sometimes we struggle to keep up with the needed equipment for all athletes to utilize and make the best use of the teams time. If you have any equipment that’s your not using at your house or garage, a donation would be greatly appreciated for our athletes! Items needed are;
2” hole plate weights
Dumbbells
Kettlebells
Medicine balls

For those attending the Girls Basketball game this evening in Luray, please see the information they have provided regarding seating. After the Girls game, all occupants will need to leave the gym promptly to allow the Luray/Rappahannock Co. Boys game to begin.
