Shoulder-to-Shoulder Drag to Cover Hips
Students will practice moving around their partner, covering the hips, and staying balanced on top.

Class game
Games to Build Connection and Cover the Hips
Games will focus on safe partner movement, hip coverage, balance, and staying connected without grabbing too hard.

Parent cue: after class, ask, “How do you stay connected without squeezing?”

A warm-up movement pattern for dragging the shoulder line, covering the hips, and building top control before the finish.

Adult movement
Side Triangle from Down Block Hands
Use the partner’s defensive hand position to open the side triangle entry while keeping chest pressure and hip control.

Finish or variation
Side Triangle from Knee Drop
Enter the side triangle as the knee drop changes the angle and exposes the head-and-arm connection.

Training cue: cover the hips first, then build the triangle.
