TVC Skatepark at Rip Van Winkle Lake

TVC Skatepark at Rip Van Winkle Lake Second coming of the local skate park. Helped to fruition by Phil Theo of Philthy O's. With a mini ramp and some street features, this little park gets it done.

See you in the spring.
Much love,
Your Skate Park
The TVC Skatepark

By the way, I'm open year round, if you dare brave the cold temperatures. Just keep a close eye out for anything wet, icy, or otherwise slick - friction reducing surfaces. Of course, that includes snow. And do keep in mind that wood becomes more brittle in colder temperatures.

Skate at your own discretion. Be safe, but have fun.

With love,

It looks like the signs and traffic cones have finally been removed, indicating that our skatepark is once again open to the public and available for use.

We'll see you there. Skate on, my brothers and sisters.

Keep skating.

Here is one last photo from Go Skate Day 2019 (06/21), featuring perhaps the three best freestyle skateboarders in the area, who call this park a second home: Pat, JA Savage, and Spooty.

They have many years of experience and are skilled in various areas of the sport, so if you have a skateboarding question or need assistance in learning a trick, they can help. Don't hesitate to ask.

See you at the park this summer!

This one wasn't in the Go Skate Day 2019 edit but is definitely worth sharing: JA Savage's fakie shove it 360.

Here's a group shot, taken during our Go Skate Day 2019 event, provided by JA Savage.

We hope to see you at the skatepark this summer, and don't hesitate to ask any of us for skate-related help.

The local weather forecast says we will probably have a rainy morning and a partly cloudy afternoon on Friday a.k.a. Go Skate Day. If you plan on skating that day, we recommend waiting until the early to mid-afternoon hours, so the ramps and asphalt have time to dry.

However, no one would stop you if you went down there with towels and rags to make the ramps dry faster (especially the miniramp).

Anyway, besides the rain, the high temperature on Friday should be great for skating - high 60's(F). We hope to see you there.

Reminder: Go Skate Day is this Friday, the 21st.

Skate on.
