🌟 AERIAL DRAGONS STUDIONS INSTRUCTOR HIGHLIGHT: Jessica King (Watson)🌟

Today’s instructor Monday is all about one of our Founders and Queen Mama Dragon, Miss Jessica ! Jessica is a third generation circus performer, whose passion for the industry runs through her veins. For ten years she performed multiple ground and aerial acts in the Sailor Circus, now part of the Circus Arts Conservatory. She was the Head Instructor at a local Aerial Arts gym before, with the encouragement of the local community as well as friends, she started Aerial Dragons which is not only an entertainment troupe but also the gym many of us call Home. She has been featured across many local venues and even around the world 🌎 Jessica performed in South Korea under a hot air ballon for a whopping 15 MINUTES which is the equivalent of hours in aerial time. She is a diverse instructor, teaching : Advanced Aerial Silks, Advanced Lyra, Trapeze int/adv, and Cloud Swing. Jessica is the backbone of the local circus community. She has enriched and brought so much joy to audiences, students, and anyone who has ever stepped foot in our gym can attest to the fact that she makes you feel right at home.

If you’re curious to try Acro come try our all levels class ! Every Thursday with the talented . She will take you through fundamentals of basing, flying, and balances. Since Aerial requires a lot of pulling, this class is a perfect way to stay well balanced since it requires the opposing action of pushing. Melanie joined us shortly after we opened our gym and has been flying high ever since. She is hard working, disciplined, and above all she is very kind & supportive of other students. Mel has become a full fledged Aerial Artist under our training. She has improved by leaps and bounds since she started as a baby dragon back in 2016. This girl has shown dedication & perseverance throughout her aerial journey. If you continue to stick with classes and work hard you can succeed & fly, Mel is a testament to that. Her teachers & staff here at Aerial Dragons Studios adore her. We are so extremely proud of you & all of your accomplishments Melanie, you are a soaring talent ! Keep up the excellent work 🎪💋🐉

This bendy beauty bends so that she doesn’t break. Valerya is our Advanced Flexibility/Contortion Coach here at Aerial Dragons Studios. She wants you to be your most Gumby, flexible self ! Valerya hails extensive Rhythmic Gymnastics training. She trained in Russia since she was a little girl and continued her education in rhythmics here in the United States. This is not only an impressive contortionist, but a phenomenal instructor as well. She levels out her flexibility training to suit her students, going through different professions for whatever skill is being covered in class. Valerya’s students will gain a deep understanding of human anatomy and stretching different parts of your body for different flexibility gains. She has been teaching for many years and she has such a profound knowledge of the human body. She can help a contortionist with technique and a regular student how to get their splits, she will ease you into every stretch. In this lovely ladies classes you’ll gain the flexibility & lines that look so stunning on the ground and in the air. There’s much to learn from Valerya and she is a wonderful addition to our team here at Aerial Dragons Studios 🐉🎪

Trying anything new can be scary because face it, to be good at something you have to be “bad” (not really bad, more like inexperienced) at it first ! But the amazing part of what we do is that Circus is for everyBODY. No matter what your background is, your size, shape ect there’s a place for you not only here but in the Circus world as a whole. We are proud of the vibes & culture we have created here and we hope to just keep fostering a nurturing environment for all our Dragons. Anyone who spends time in our gym has seen Seejay busting her butt with a smile on her face. Seejay came to us with strength that has only flourished under our training. Here at Aerial Dragons she has improved her flexibility and overall flow. Her movement quality has increased so much since she started ! She’s well versed in Aerial Hammock, Aerial Silks, and Acro. This lovely red headed lady has developed into a jack of all trades with amazingly sculpted shoulders 😉. She now performs & assists Circus Acro & has become an amazing addition to our gym. Whether she’s learning to fly or spotting Acro, she’s always diligent and focused on the task at hand. Her laser focus is what has gotten her so far here. We’re so proud of you & all of your accomplishments Seejay, keep up the great work ! 🎪💋🐉

• Strength & technique exudes from Kate as you watch her fly, flawlessly through the air. Kate is well rounded in all the disciplines but her love (and classes) lie in Aerial Silks. If you know her, she is an Aerial Theory wizard, she can seemlessly get you from one trick to a completely different sequence like it’s magic ✨ Her classes focus on Technique, Strength, and Flow on Silks. Any Aerial Silks student that wants to pursue a deeper understanding of why things work and how can benefit from Kate’s class. Did I mention how awesome her conditioning is too ? Seriously, it’s incredible. She’s a joy to be around and so supportive. There’s so much to learn from Kate and she is a wonderful addition to our team here at Aerial Dragons Studios 🐉🎪

We are getting ready for our newest show, a homage to the history of circus & what we do... HYPNOTICA 🎪🌈 a circus of the bizarre, the strange, the enticing... This is our first time doing a Classic Circus themed show so you know we will be going all out ! Students sign up at the front desk with Deb & ticket sales info will be coming soon. Every year Aerial Dragons Studios puts on a huge, theatrical show at the Straz Center & every year we outdo the previous year. As we grow & our students grow, we create bigger & better shows. This course is a 6-week intensive from April 19- May 25. There are two time slots : Friday’s at 6pm/ Saturday’s at 10am. The price is $230 & there are only 5 students per timeslot. Last year it sold out immediately so if your interested get it while it’s hot !✨ Featuring our Mother Dragon that will be leading this intensive looking stunning in her cloudswing routine for our show Carpe Noctem
