It’s been an exceptionally productive and busy week on the waters of Tampa Bay, as spring break reaches its peak. The snook have finally moved out of their winter refuges and are actively feeding, signaling a strong transition into the spring pattern.
It’s been a while since we’ve highlighted snook action, so this update is dedicated to just that. It was a pleasure getting out on the water with Mark & company —we had a great time hooking into some quality snook, along with a few trout to round out the day.
With less than a month to go, tarpon season is quickly approaching and already showing promising signs. Early arrivals are beginning to appear in their spring staging areas, setting the stage for what looks to be another outstanding tarpon season in 2026.
We still have a handful of winter chronicle trips to highlight, but we’ll be weaving in a few spring outings along the way as we transition toward full-throttle tarpon season.
