Down Range Charters LLC owned by Michael and Angela Ayersman is a Charter fishing company accommodating all levels of fishing experience and ages. Our main goal is to provide recreational fishing to clients and to provide free fishing trips to veterans who have fought in combat zones. Why the company is named Down Range Charters? Down Range is a term that soldiers use to signify a deployment. Capt

ain Michael Ayersman a U.S. Army veteran and soldier deployed in 2001 and again in 2003 has seen first hand what veterans face when they return from deployment. He found that fishing and being on the water was excellent in combatting living with PTSD and other disabilities. Based upon what fishing did for him, he then came up with the business plan that if fishing was healthy for him than it could be healthy for other veterans. Captain Ayersman takes great pride in watching others leave their worries at the dock and the every day hustle of the world. The money made by paid fishing trips is than used to provide free fishing for other veterans who can also benefit from being on the water.

Quick fishing story. Clients on the boat asked one favor. They had heard about my poor man’s lobster and wanted to try it. Start at 8am and begin the hunt. Couple rats and than she hooks into an over slot red. Breaks on a dock so we move and get on some snook. Hooks into a nice snook which throws the hook. Our time stop was at 1:30pm. On our way in I said let’s try one more stop. At 1:29 she pulls in a 25” slot red for her dinner. Fast forward to 8pm and I get a text that says dinner was delicious!!!!!
