Congratulations to our own Sarah Lanzillo for her excellent performance this past weekend at the Showdown meet in Kansas City, lifting with and against the very best lifters in the World. For context, THREE lifters in Sarah's weight class (including herself) broke into the top 10 of all time - simply unheard of. Sarah trained hard, was consistent, deliberate, focused, and stuck to the program, and peaked perfectly. Properly handled and coached by yours truly and , she did what she was supposed to all day, and followed the script until we decided to go off script, which only the best teams can do. You need to master the rules to break the rules, and that's a story for another day (soon). Very proud of both and . Shoutout to and Roy for enthusiastic support all weekend, and for keeping our animals alive while we were gone.

What's your walking around strength? Not your peaked strength, your historical best, or your programmed projected 1rm. How strong are you if you haven't trained a lift in months or years, you've more or less healed from your last surgical repair, and asks you to lift with him like, right now today now? Borrow a belt and find out. How do you build a decent base level of strength that stays with you for decades whether you train or not? Here's a hint - master the basics.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to announce our summer t-shirt drop! Drippin’ with 80’s Miami Vice vibes (if you don’t know what that is- just google Crocket and Tubbs). Proceeds will be donated to Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa. Metropolitan Ministries cares for at risk families and youth, the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless in our community through services that alleviate suffering, promote dignity and instill self-sufficiency.

Congratulations to , , and for picking up their national qualifying totals and doing some Ironbound style serious damage along the way at the Alabama state championships. 3 gold medals isn't too shabby. Kara was 2nd overall with her wilks (and a pr total), and the girl who came first was in the wrapped division, so I'm taking the win for posterity. Alex hit a perfect 9 for 9 day with a pr total at a lighter bodyweight and weight class, after a weight cut courtesy of . Ali got her qualifying total with room to spare after having to adjust to a whole new setup on bench which I threw at her after her opener went south, and she dug deep and salvaged it, and very narrowly missed a big deadlift on a technicality. She assures me that she will try a new concept called training with her coaches so we don't have to adjust technique on the actual meet platform in the future. I think it could work, but what do I know. Thanks to our not so secret weapon Jesus who expertly handled all 3 lifters on meet day.

We spent Saturday morning helping quantum leap farm get ready for their annual fundraiser next week. We got to spend time with great people, awesome animals, and each other. They do incredible hippotherapy work with wounded veterans and disabled children and adults, and have been a blessing to our own Roy, who gets hippotherapy there every week. Check them out. A beautiful day in a beautiful place with our beautiful family. Thanks to our team managers for coordinating. @ Quantum Leap Farm, Inc.
