My middle son & I ran the Cupcake Crawl 5k this morning to support Celebrate Birthdays. Celebrate Birthdays is a 501c3 Charity Non-Profit organization whose mission is to ensure that every foster child and all children, regardless of personal or financial circumstances, has the opportunity to Celebrate their Birthday and receive a present! 🥳🎂🎉Tristan came in first in his age division. I wasn’t a winner in the race but when another runner came up to thank Tristan for checking on her during the race and running with her for a bit and said “a lot of kids his age wouldn’t do that” I felt like I won the gold medal 🥇🏃🏻🧁🏃🏻‍♀️☀️

Getting to teach the same swimmers over the years and watch them grow, gain confidence, and continue to develop their strokes is such a special part of what I do. 🏊‍♀️💦🏊‍♂️
